uhoh .. SQL server probs again ..
I see nothing bugs you. That's good.
So dEsidEL = occrider?

do u know what bugs me...
1. Where are all the Weapons of Mass Destructions which Bush promised us. Come on Mr. Bush live up to ur part of the deal. U show us some WMD's and we show u the support.
2. Today 4 U.S. soldiers were captured by the Iraqi military, and as soon as that happened Mr. Rumsfeld came on CNN and said that it was against some Ganeva convention to show POW's on T.V. My questions to Mr. Rumsfeld is don't these same conventions apply to the Iraqi POW's which were captured earlier. Or the Afghani POW's which were captured in the previous wars.
It seems like that the American Gov't is making up rules and conventions as they see fit.

i dont know for sure is there is any faction of un in iraq...
now if there isn't, what's to prevent the americans themselves from planting a few WMD???
food for thought...

| Originally posted by JohnSmith I fully agree! well, in regards to the afghani POWs, the americans got around the geneva convention by calling them "battlefield detainees" instead of POWs. apparently it was not a real war, because they were fighting the taliban, which they didn't recognize as a govt. besides they were a ragtag army of conscriptions, they didn't even have uniforms. I guess the reasoning goes, if your country cannot afford to buy uniforms for it's soldiers then we will do whatever we like to them, regardless of international law. |

Substantiation of this find would demolish the arguments of the anti-war front led by France, Russia and Germany. Watch how this plays out! |

Yes it hasn't been proven even yet and you're already convinced
how ridiculous
dude as i said useless to argue
I will be more than happy if they are right and they destroy them but killing people is not the answer in anyway from both sides.
I rest my case here as well.

Wow ... I never expected this much debate in an empty thread
. Anyway this just popped into my head last night and I'm in dc this weekend visiting friends and again working off my gf's celeron 90 mhz lap top computer which has significant problems connecting to these forums. Anyway this is what I was going to say:
People often conclude that CNN is a completely biased, untrustworthy
news source because it has American affiliations. Fine I respect their
suspicions and their decision to use a multitiude of news sources. Hell
I myself like to use a wide variety of news sources before I arive at
conclusions. What irks me the most is that it seems that people
wholeheartedly accept middle eastern news sources such as al jazeera as
if they were the epitome of journalistic impartiality/the word of
muhhammad himself! Doesn't it occur to people that middle eastern news
sources are JUST as likely subjected to the same biases and influences
as western news sources??? Give me a break, how popular would al jazeera
be if it reported on something great that the americans did or something
positive about the american administration?
What brings this up is that I was listening to NPR radio in my car this
morning and a reporter in Baghdad actually went to the hospital to look
at the some 200+ casualties of the american cruise missile strikes.
What the reporter saw was that the vast majority of injuries were due to
the unexploded anti-aircraft artillery rounds that fell back to the
Earth after failing to explode at their set altitudes. Think about it,
you can see it on tv!! Those glowing rounds that shoot up, and then fall
back to Earth? Those are flak rounds that experience proximity fuse
errors and fall back to the ground to explode. Then you see on Al
jazeera all the "casualties" from the American strikes.
That's just one example that got me thinking about this topic. Would
anybody like to disagree with me and claim that middle eastern sources
are the journalistic saint theresas of the media? I'm just saying, that
if you're going to ignore cnn as biased media news source you might as
well ignore EVERY news source. Otherwise READ Al-Jazeera, READ BBC,
READ CNN, realize that ALL are biased, and then come to your
conclusions.
The truth lies somewhere in between ...
Look forward to getting back to my normal computer on monday and keeping up the fight.
you got it right man, that's what i do.
I actually find the CBC to be one of the best and most non biased around.
