The Oscar Award Winning Eminem

Well, Eminem just won the Oscar for best original song in a movie. He definitely deserved it. It's quite an awesome, passionate song. You can't deny that you liked it. I know this board is full of haters (ahem..europeans)

i fond it quite astounding how many ppl dislike eminem.... the guy is an absolute genius in every sense of the word. the way he can tell a story with so much description and make it all rhyme... whilst still having cool as fuck tracks.... to me , i think thats pretty awesome.

Most of you seem to blindly hate him because you think it's the cool thing to do. People who don't even listen to rap shouldn't make derogatory comments because it's no better than those who say, "how can you listen to this techno, it's so repetitive?". Obviously I'm generalizing as well but those who don't understand the music shouldn't be too loose with their words. I'm not a big rap fan myself but I can see that he has that something special required to survive in our music industry.

And someone asked why it was posted here -- Eminem's a rapper and rap is electronic music, therefore it's on topic.

I don't question his talent and mcing skillz, what I question is the rationality, and reason behind his message. But lose yourself cannot be hated, this song encourages others to not give up on their dreams, and is deserving of the oscar.

I dont really care, im not as passionate about rap as i used to be, Emenim is good he was great but hes dropped to good. He got an Oscar so what, but really why talk about it here?

He's certainly talented, but at what I'm not sure. I don't enjoy his music that much and I dont think its good but he seems to entertain people with the whole image and act and stuff, a bit like robbie williams if you know what Im getting at.
