PVD vs Tiesto (Production)

This is not a straightforward 'who is better' post.

Pvd and Tiesto both make good tunes but who wins on each count?

Pvd - out there vs DJ Tiesto - flight 643

Sinead O'Connor - Guide me God (Pvd mix) vs Conjure one feat. Sinead O' Connor - Tears from the moon (Tiesto's ISOS mix)

Pvd feat. Jan johnston - nothing but you vs Cor Finjeman feat. Jan Johnston - Venus (Tiesto mix)

DJ Tiesto - flight 643 --> although I admire PvD, flight is one of my fav tunes from tiesto..

I like Tiesto as far as production. His productions vary in style and are very versatile. I love Tears from the Moon (Tiesto ISOS Mix),but at the same time we all know Nothing But You Owns. To me all of PvD's productions are like epic classics it seems like, I mean there so anticipated, i mean he has great marketing u have to admit. When one finally does get released its the greatest of all time. Another thing i give to PvD's credit is Seven Ways, another classic album. I dunno, im ranting but overall i cant really decide i look for different things from both, too close to call.

off the topic but i just dug up tiesto mix of schiller - das glockenspiel for some mixing today.. that one's a killer!! i prefer tiesto's mixes and production as it has more variety just like the above post i mean how he can make banging tunes like urban and at the same time sweet vocal trance like roc project - never is simply inhumane!!(?) but djing and track selection wise paul's got my point therea clsoe call though!

overall i think tiesto is better, pvd has done some good productions for sure but over the years tiesto has made so many amazing tunes i won't even begin to list them

i just don't like nothing but you

I like PvD - Nothing But You better than Venus; I think it will last much much longer than Venus will. Guide Me God is a good tune, but PvD's remix gets old after a while. Tiesto's remix of tears from the moon is outstanding, I can tell just by listening to it that he spent a lot more time making that mix then PvD did on Guide me God.

I really Can't decide between Flight 643 and Out There. Both of those tracks are just pure energy from start to finish. If I had to name the best banging energetic, non-melodic tunes it would have to be those two tied for first, with Armin van Buuren - Sunburn sitting in a distant third.

So, to make sense of all that garbage:

PvD - Out There And Tiesto - Flight 643 are both Amazing!
Conjure One - Tears From the Moon (Tiesto Remix)
PvD - Nothing But You

Tiesto - Southern Sun - forever klassic..
PVD got much better track selection though... Just got back from WMC..

I've never heard such awesome production values. Not a single bit of distortion, every sound is unbelievably crisp. For all of you who don't have the LP, get it! The waxed version is by far the highest quality track I have. Anytime someone really wants me to test out their system, like a high quality classical speaker system, I will spin up Ligaya to put it through some extremely high definition sound.

What does Ligaya have to do with this thread? Neither Tiesto or PvD was involved in that production... oh btw,

PvD takes it all.. He is more of a musician than tiesto ever was, whose sound seems to lack the refinement compaired to PvD's post-45rpm works.
