Taken from the gc board....

"Ben Thompson and Gc have parted company today im very sorry to tell you.

Its very unfortunate for us, coz he has done wonders with that place if some of you could have only been there through ted and simons prog era you would agree.

so there you are.

whats next i dont know.....

but good luck ben x"

Is this the end?

Posted by Dom on Mar-25-2003 23:25:

Gatecrasher closing?

Ben Thompson has left GC, he has fought to keep crasher open... this could be the end?

Posted by flystyler on Mar-25-2003 23:31:

This doesnt sound good, but gatecrashers monthly's seem pretty succesful, they would b mad to stop it

Posted by CyberTeraz on Mar-25-2003 23:33:

I dunno mate! It still cant be making that much money! And it has become clear that ben was really having to fight for good stuff to happen at gc! Good luck ben! Its a great loss that hes gone!

i know most of you wouldnt agree, but i think that would be really amazing, Paul has regularly been with crasher since 98 (97?), right through its heyday, indeed helped make it what it was. Im sure he would play an amazing set, filled with amazing trance n crasher classics.

Lets not forget, PvD's 6 hour sets at Crasher were voted the second best night out ever by muzik mag.

actually, i wouldnt particularly agree o nthe fact wether pvd would be amazing, but it would be fitting, seeing as what he done at crasher in the past.

and also, scott bond & matt hradwick classics b2b again wudnt harm anyone, hehe

Posted by Az on Mar-26-2003 12:35:

better fucking not be pvd for 6 hours

why not tho?

he's done more for crasher than any1 else (excluding ressies)

who wud be better? armin?

Posted by Dom on Mar-26-2003 12:40:

best last crasher night wud be

Jules (playing trance)
Tiesto
Oakey
PvD
Matt/Scott b2b

but you just know Crasher wudnt shell out on a lineup like that

Posted by jon on Mar-26-2003 12:41:

only if oakey played his pree 2000 style, after 2000 he lost it for me

i've kept it quiet for some time now, but my parents are REALLY wealthy, and when i hit 18, i recieved an amount that i am not going to share with everyone. But i shall buy gatecrasher, if it dies, and continue to book the DJ's people want to see.

because he's a gimp, fills the place with vandit gimps

I personally think Ferry's done more for crasher, but meh.....

Who would be better?
Ferry
Oakie
Hardwick
Bond

Jon, check out oakie's latest stateside sets, he's back

Posted by Volksjoolz on Mar-26-2003 12:45:

sad news!

lets just hope it doesn't become s1 1dj and not gc!
