progressive is progressing music
prog is short for "progressive house"... yes, sasha and digweed are prog djs because they spin prog... you can't get any more progger than that
james holden - nothing [93 returning mix]
deep dish, sander k, danny howells are all prog...i'm not too familiar with it, but i sweat "buenos aires!!" yummy
I prefer to be uplifted rather than progressed....

Maybe with more melody and less bass lines...
Many prog tunes have:
1) slower tempos
2) more driven by rhythm rather than melody
3) dynamic basslines
4) dark sound
example producers/dj's:
sasha, digweed, steve porter, sander kleinenberg, james holden, noel sanger... etc...
also anything released on bedrock

(Note a LOT of tech-house tracks can also be progressive).

Progressive House: Peter Jurgens -- Star b/w The Noise, Cube -- Pornstar Girl(awesome track)
Deep Progressive Trance: Christopher Lawrence -- Nitro (Fluid In Motion + Machinineries Rmxs), Michele Nicol -- Time
Up-Beat or Energetic Progressive Trance: Tillman Uhrmacher-- On The Run(Ferry Corsten + PPK Rmxs) Nuw Idol -- Satan b/w The Golden Void,
