The "Biggest waste of Internet useage" thread

yeh thought id start something random since nothing new has been posted in a while.

Anyways , just downloaded the MOS - trance nation 4 cd (110mb!!). Never heard one before , never want to hear one again. All i can say is CHEEESE.

What are some recent sets / things youve downloaded that have been a total waste of time?

Show me the tracklist and I'll show you why you shouldn't have wasted your bandwidth

well do so at your own risk, cos the first Trance Nation cd still stands as one of the best compilation cds i own.

it's like saying, the police academy series is shit, when the only one you've watched is no. 4 - Citizens On Patrol.

Anyway, biggest waste:

Bass Station - Live On Kiss FM (30-11-01) (232 fucking MB!)

& some Digweed live set.

dont have the tracklist unfortunately , but every single track was just cheesy.

I mite have been a bit rash in saying that all trance nation sux, but this particualr one definitely did . I suppose you can compare it with the latest godskitchen direct 3 pack. The first 2 discs have some of my fave tracks in recent times, but the 3rd disc is just crap .

Personally i dont like it because its cliched and usually has annoying vocal or synth arrangements. Why dont you like country and western?

Biggest waste... mmmm... nothing really.. i like what i've downloaded so far.. except the new linkin park album.. its only 36 fucking minutes long.. nice album.. but half an hour!!! f***N waste!

I was told that Trouser Enthusiasts = Mekka. And Mekka did Diamondback which is a tune that has a lot of sentimental value to me.

I thought 'omg! Ghosts + Mekka...this is going to be farrrrking incredible!'

I was wrong.
Sure, it's not bad...but it's not the masterpiece that I anticipated it to be.

Another waste for me was DT8 - Destination (Vocal Mix)
...please don't kill me!!

One time I spent all night downloading this random song from a site...I think it was from the RENT soundtrack. Anyhoo, I listened to it once and then deleted it

I bought this CD late 2000, when I was doing my HSC ! absolutely awesome ! this along with Gatecrasher Wet are the best cds I have in my collection

the only track i can spot on trance nation 4 is that annoying Darude - Sandstorm song. I think theres 1 decent track towards the end of the cd tho. I find oldschool cheesy as fuck, prolly cos its all been done so many times. On that same token im loving anything by sasha back in the day(99) with his essential mix on NYE 98' being one of my fave trance sets ive heard. ohh and sasha still rox today .

Best download recently tho has definitely been "true sound of clubbing" ( the godskitchen 2 pack released at the end of 2002). I loved it so much i went out and bought it , i think shit that is that good deserves to get something back.

Trance Nation 4 is an awesome CD! I've bought all of the Trance Nation albums (apart from 2003 obviously) and I must say that TN4 is definitely my favourite. So many awesome tunes! Are you crazy??? BTW, I'm guessing it wasn't Ferry's decision to put Darude - Sandstorm on there

im sorry howlz, but you have no taste in music . Maybe you style is oldschool cheese, but its definitely not mine. This is my only problem with trance, i love it to absolute bits but there is a lot more cheese out there compared to say prog or house.

The clip of NuNRG live in Orgasmatron last year.

waiting fuking forever (well, not really forever)...wasted my 3GB quotas on bigpond adsl (the whole file is about 375MB)...and it turns out the file was corrupted or something, nothing I can do to make it play


...and the worst part...i downloaded that off someone on the EMC
