Internet Radio

Hi guys,

Just need you professional opinion on this...
What do you think about internet radio?
Is it nice, cool, or a complete waste of time?

i think its great, it gives alot of dj's a chance to be heard, when normally they cant. ive been spinning on various internet radio stations live for over two hours, the feedback has been incrediable and has landed me hundreds of gigs all across my region! check out www.afterhoursdjs.org for tons of undiscovered talent!

Yeah, AfterHoursDjs is great place to hang and get your name out. Pop in!

Tranceairwaves has a selection of ta djs & pro/semi-pro ones, they're the best around

I think that internet radios are a great idea . They promote DJ's and new tracks that most people won't hear anywhere else .

I must agree with you...most DJ's are only known locally and this does give a great opportunity as you say :-).

its a good thing, unknown dj's get some air time! and now more and more famous dj's start to spin at internet radio stations to! like at tranceairwaves.com (ben lost, gtr etc) and www.bascibeats.net (dj dazzle, cor fijneman, and ofcause my self )

One of the best things to ever be created!!! IM ADDICTED TO IT !! i wish i could listen to it 24/7 but like in my car in my room and so on!!

inet radio is the next best thing.
digitallyimported and proton radio used to be on 24/7 but tranceairwaves amongs other stations have really brought it together. its a good way to promote and expand the amount of listeners out there.

Without broadband it's total waste of time. Once everyone switches it'll take off, hopefully.

Broadband is a must....

Internet radio is awesome! So many things you can do, the possiblities are endless!

You MUST have broadband connection or else you'll miss out.

So get CABLE, ADSL, sattelie, w/e

Agreed, the only down side of radio is that when I hear something amazing I want it but cant have!!!

i've never listened to an internet radio broadcast, cause im on 56k

Here in Italy there aren't normal radio that plays trance or electronic music with the only exception of Orgasmatron set on Saturday night. But i have a dsl connection always-on and thanks to Internet Radio i can listen for all day, every day, my favourite music genre. And then Internet Radio are great to discover new dj's and to give them some possibilities.
Internet Radio are absolutely great!

i think that internet radiostations / shoutcasts are going to be more and more popular until they are mainstream. already more and more of my friends (even those how don't really know a lot about computers) set up their own stations to be able to play their favorite music to their friends. in the future i'm sure that you will be able to listen to your own shoutcast station from your cell phone whenever you feel like it. that is unless the riaa etc stops the development somehow. which wouldn't surprise me at all.
