My hopes too, The melody is perhaps one of the best he's ever done, and hopefully he can tastefully bring it upto date, would please me anyway, I first heard it on a sampler CD with DJ Magazine in 1997 & it blew me away then with how sweet it was, and with all these tunes being remade, It'd be nice to have a real classic updated

w00t
i can't wait to hear this track
this can either be a major success or a failure
I'm hoping for a great tune

Posted by DJPrototypeX on Mar-27-2003 12:30:

cant wait for that one...yuuuuuuuuuumy

Posted by VaNFeCto on Mar-27-2003 13:35:

Hah! Ive never heard of the original. Im gonna go get it see how anticipated this should actually be.

Posted by CygnusX on Mar-27-2003 13:39:

Nice
Isn't this the track that Mauro Picotto stole from him? Like this like that?

Thumbs down

Another remake of a classic....

The original is great, the new version won't be able to beat it.

Why doesn't Armin put his energy in a new track??? This is sooooo easy....

Gabriel & Dresden all the way baby....

Posted by Cobalt on Mar-27-2003 18:53:

YES! I knew it was coming!

He better make good of it, or I will be pissed to the extreme. The remake had best be innovative, different, and something out of the ordinary. Blue Fear deserves no less!

YEah Yeah Armin goo!!!!!

Posted by torontotrance on Mar-28-2003 00:49:

what the heck..seems everyone is redoing 2003 versions of their classic tunes. Personally I think that they should leave the songs as is because a new version can ruin the memory of the old one.

I agree that many remakes as of late havn't really been that great (o why can't it be 99' again) but who knows maybe this will be the one remake of the year thats actually quality?

I think 2003 will be a good year and I don't care what anyone else thinks --------------> (Gabriel And Dresden)

Posted by Dom on Mar-28-2003 00:57:

last year was the year of re-makes...

theres a lot of good new trance around this year, armin shudnt bother with this.

Plus picotto already re-made/stole it

Posted by torontotrance on Mar-28-2003 00:58:

I never said that it would be 1999 again....let's face it..1999 will always be the year of trance (year of oakenfold btw). I just think a lot of remakes in such short time is a thing that many are going to copy.

re-makes are bad for trance

WAVETRAXX das boot 2003 < OWNAGE!!!

OMG it kills original.

remakes are good when they are not cheesy like Dj Sammy !

Remakes are not bad if done the right way .. but I'd rather have such great producers create new tunes ..

Amen to that.. If a remake sounds good, why hate? The Rank 1 - Airwave remake isnt all too bad.. Doesn't compete with the Dutch Force Remix but nevertheless still good.. But the energy does need to be invested in new projects..

Posted by zapper on Mar-28-2003 09:52:

I'm really looking forward to the vinyl of this one... IF it includes the original version, one of the best trance tunes ever in my opinion, but impossible to get cheap on vinyl nowadays.

Posted by Micheline on Mar-28-2003 09:53:

please, please, please STOP THE REMAKES!!!
WHY OH WHY DESTROY THE CLASSICS??? U DO REALIZE THAT THEY ARE NOT CLASSIC ONCE THEY HAD BEEN TOUCHED!!!

I absolutely agree. I have faith in Armin though - he's rarely disappointed since the original release of Blue Fear

lol And the wavetraxx 2003 versions are not cheesy?? I hate them sooo much, they are just banging hardtrance with the very common, cheesy synths and banging bass. Hardtrance is not my thing anyway so forgive me and i remind these are just my opinions. 2001 mixes are much better, especially Schiller Remix. And i also do like some remixes of the DJ Sammy tunes..

For the thread i surely hope Armin doesn't ruin the classic by remaking it in a bad way. I'll keep my thumbs up anyway, should be interesting.

Posted by Dom on Mar-28-2003 13:52:

remakes ARE bad for trance, you're all being shortsighted.

we've been focusing on the past for the last 2 years, that is why 2002 was the worst year for trance since 1999, if producers put their energies into making good new records, instead of taking the easy way out and doing remakes, then there wud be far more good trance around.
