PVD - Nothing But You

any1 got their hands on this one yet???

this link: http://www.paulvandyk.de/share/f/index.htm says it's been out since march 24th in germany....

great track, even though it's a cover i heard...with norwegian vocals!!! i'm so honoured

Posted by XxremedyxX on Mar-27-2003 17:36:

i have it in a live set. didn't bother picking up the cd cuz i've already listened to the song enough. it's not really a cover its just that it was taken from Hemstock & Jennings - Arctic

Posted by umes23 on Mar-28-2003 00:37:

i was wondering why i have not found this online yet since it was released in germany.
your liveset rip is nothing like any of the finished versions. ask anyone who was at space in miami

he played three different mixes 4 times total. i can't wait to find the finished studio versions, which are paul van dyk feat hemstock and jennings. pvd actually invited them to his studio to work on the track with him. the vocals are beautiful....
as with paul's music. one of the best songs to lose it to live! if anyone finds this online, let me know. i saw a partial cirrus remix....but that was not enough to please me. i am just going to have to follow paul around the states some more. his music is too exclusive!

There is 3 mixes on the Vinyl umes23...he might have been playing all 3 mixes.

disapointment.......

PvD closed ultra with this tune... its a wicked party tune with good atmosphere, but doesnt really stand out a whole lot to the average home listener imo. Still, it destroyed ultra

Pure driving uplifting trance.
Great!

I love most of PvD's stuff, Out There and Back is *still* in my regular CD case, but I was expecting a lot more from a new track with his name on it...

I really like Hemstock & Jenning's Arctic, but I already listened that to death last year, and not enough has been done to it in this to warrant a new title and a re-release on Vandit...this has less alterations made to the underlying tune than the average remix and yet it still has a new name attached to it?

im dling right now from the hub the pvd club mix...ill tell ya what i think as soon as i listen to it..

Posted by raverchikadee on Mar-31-2003 00:33:

I have had this track for wks now and for some reason i cant seem to get it out of my cd player. I am so addicted to this track that it is unbelieveable. If you dont believe me ask StarFox..lol. I play it as loud as possible every day going to work! i play it every night when i get home.

Posted by daydreamer on Mar-31-2003 04:42:

was it here that i read that the release is not as good as the one he was using for himself?

I dunno if it was here but i tell you.. the PVD club mix (not sure if thats the correct title..help me out StarFox?!?!) is way better. I downloaded one from a set he had done somewhere... venue unknown ..but its def different. I must say i like it alot better.

Posted by noonboy on Mar-31-2003 14:06:

just downloaded it from EMC....not so bad as all of u want it to sound!

though these gameboy synths may get a little annoying at times.....now let's check the vandit mix....

Vocals are just the same as in: "Hemstock And Jennings - Arctic"

Yah, originally, when PvD played it like 8 months ago, it was known as Hemstock & Jennings - Artic (Pvd Rework), then it was changed to "nothing but you" (I don't get why the change) and released under his name.

If i'm not mistaken H&J where ok with the change, and actually collaborated with PvD on it ... (can't quite recall how, or where).

Anyway, the song is great, either by H&J or PvD it still rocks, regardless of what they all say (and not just because i'm a PvD fan-to-the-bone, heh).

9.5/10 ... I would give it a 10 if I could just get rid of those "gameboy" synths like kimbo said, heh.

PvD = wise man.

The purpose of this tune is to take those beautiful vocals and make them into a tune... It is a beautiful twist on Artic... it progresses well and gives one that very deep trancy feeling.. Gut Muzik!

Posted by Narcissus on Apr-02-2003 05:35:

It's out at chemicalrecords now...there's nothing good on this platic at all...except the names on the cover. Disappointed.

Posted by VaNFeCto on Apr-02-2003 05:38:

I jus bought this on vinyl, I dont know its not the same one, this one has a lot of added stuff, still a good song.

On the cover it says Ft Hemmstock & Jennings, weird.

Thumbs down sucks...

Huge disappointment.. i was all excited about a new PvD single and its a damn cover.. and worse than the original i might add, even if H & J collaborated on it. It's nothing new or original from any standpoint AND i find the vocals irritating. Try again Paul.

ok b4 u post ur negative reviews, i just wanna hit out that there are more than one mix on the vinyl.
The one PVD played at his live sets and the one most ppl have a live rip of is the Vandit Club mix. That's the one that kicks ass.
The others aren't as catchy for clubs or bars but that doesn't degrade them in anyway! again, if ur posting ur opinion about the release, i think u should state the mix u listen to cuz different mixes are aimed for different targets of listeners and i personally think u should bash of praise a specefic mix rather than the over all single
