Summer Calling VS. Beautiful Things..

Official "pick who is better" thread...

two great tunes by andain....However i may stay alone in which i prefer summer calling better.

I enjoyed summer calling's more mysterious somber vocals by the vocalist....it was more of "depressing" tune if u wanna call it that. Id say it was more of a mediational tune which had some deeep dark feelings/vocals

Beautiful things is a goood tune...but it just doesnt captivate my mind like their summer calling did....JUst my two cents.
As the rush comes...is better than beautiful things.
NOt takinig anything away from Gabriel and dresden...just my opinion.

I prefer Beautiful Things over Summer Calling only for the simple reason, I think I've heard Summer Calling way too much since its release. If I were to hear both for the first time, I may have a different opinion, but I can't help but weigh in the fact that I've heard Summer Calling played to death.

Beautiful Things seems to focus more on the vocals, whereas Summer Calling is a better track if the vocals were removed.

ahhh!!!!! i strongly disagreee....in summer calling...the heart of the tune is the slow echoey gorgeous downtempo vocals....THOSE VOCALS Were the soul of the tune...hands down

agreed, summer calling needed to have the vocals ... they made the song.

Summer Calling is great too, but I like Beautiful Things better.

I like them both equally as well right now. All the remixes of Summer Calling made it what it is ... hopefully there are some sick remixes of Beautiful Things.

Ugh, such a tough question. Both of them are great examples of what vocals should sound like. Right now I'd have to say I like Beautiful Things better, but that may only be because it is newer. Ask again in a couple months and my opinion may change. And "As the Rush Comes" is right up there with both of them.

Gabriel and crew have done a great job on both tracks, but got to go with Beautiful Things
by the way, how bout comparing the OTHER Andian track from the EM (one before Beautiful Things)?

Well I think that this being based on something is that I heard Summer Calling is way too much. I think that Beautiful Things is better i liek the melody is better.

The Josh Gabriel mix is the best IMO, the vocals still send spines down my back everytime I listen, especially on my 500 watt Klipsch speakers. Definately my number 1 vocal tune of 2002. Beautiful Things is still excellent but doesn't live up Summer Calling.

the original mix of summer calling
but we have only heard the gabriel and dresden mix of beautiful things, lets wait for more remixes to come out, then decide =)

I meant Summer Calling is better than Beautiful Together if both tracks had the vocals removed. Not that Summer Calling would be better itself if the vocals were removed. 8)
