Swamper reckons I should post something here to see what everybody thinks so....

what do you reckon? If you want a good example see here:

Unless its something serious, or understandable, thats one thing, but I can already see the stupid "I melted my brain from drugs and now im depressed, someone wipe my ass for me" threads now.....

If there was a forum you'd never have to see them again, and could live safe in the knowledge that the world is a happy place.

Everybody goes through tough times in their life and I just think it'd be a nice idea to have a forum where people can talk about their problems and get advice from people who've gone through similar things. If you look at the link I provided, you'd see it works quite well.

I say you go for it. There are quite enough threads about topics like that, just make an entire forum for it.

ive seen my share of "i'm depressed" threads in this section, it might really help some people out. I do know though that my sympathy towards non-addicted drug abusers having "after affects" is completely minimal. I'm sure we'll see a lot of that in the section......anyone who knows more than just what pill their taking knows, they don't always fuck ya up just once.......

nah, this board is about music, trance music, not drugs and their problems.

they can always go to that board if they seek help.

So why have a political forum ahlamalek? I think that a support forum is a good idea. It doesn't hurt to branch out does it?

because a "support forum" would cast negativness on the tranceaddict community like those "political forums" wich are filled with racism and hatred...

I was against the creation of the "political forum" btw.

i think we should not have one. People can find othe websites for stuff like that.

I think this site has enough forums as it is.

i think its a great idea. there are a lot of tas on here who i truly consider great friends. i don't think the forum can HURT. if you don't want to be involved with it, then just don't click that link. how hard can it fucking be?

i think theres nothing wrong with a bit of support. it may be a problem you don't want to tell all your close friends about, and maybe you don't have money for counseling, so why not post something online and get a completely objective opinion from a wide variety of people. if you tell your friends what happened between you and your girlfriend or whatever, then they are probably gonna be biased in your favor because they wouldn't want to hurt your feelings, etc.

Yep. It's a shame a lot of people are against it simply because it has nothing to do with trance, and they wouldn't want to use it themselves. It's obvious that a lot of people on this forum like to hear the advice of others and it doesn't hurt to think of others needs once in a while.

ahlamalek: I would see it more of a positive addition than a negative one.

I'm not on about just relationship issues here. Many people post frequently about depression, anxiety, drug issues etc... and there are a lot of people who always take the time to reply and give advice.

i support the support forum

i thinmk a lot of people on this board are really narrow minded to say no to a forum like this. TA is based on music but it is also a community. and in a community a place to reach out to people for friends would be great. i think a support forum would be great. but change the name cause support sounds weird. at first i thought you meant like site suggestions (except we alredy have that)

i also think we should have a sex board but i think the majority of the people on TA are too young an immature for it.

unfortunately many people still underestimate the power and (positive) potential of internet communication. Why is it so unimaginable that serious, helpful conversation can be held online, as well? I even think that anonimity allows us to be even more open and "intimate" and that the words as they're typed are often clearer than soken words mixed with body language and your personal feelings (who are never neutral) towards the person u talk to.

In the other hand..why have a special forum for these subjects? In real chill out rooms, those conversations are just as common as "senseless" humoristic topics are

aslong as there is ban on retarded replies that dont offer any support

just shoot yourself and quit whinging.

stuff like that is what ive come to expect on these boards. look at btg's current thread named "So i fucked up my life", no support there, just pointless replies saying "yeah you did fuck up". if we can haves strict rules on the replied, i say yes definately.
