Yup, Mauro Picotto is one of the best DJs, and I'll be seeing him do his magic on April 12th here in Los Angeles.

so you're saying he's stopped spinning dirty techno?

The italian man never stop to be one of the best...
Now that has left BXR it's totally free.

Posted by Micheline on Mar-29-2003 11:02:

why did he leaved BXR?

Posted by chesco on Mar-29-2003 11:25:

i don't know but did he not release on the primate record label now.

He left bxr because he didn't want to go down that musical route, which is a good thing really because bxr has gone way downhill without him gabry, and ricky effe.

That first tune called new time new place is fuckin brilliant, thats the one he finished his set with last time he was here in scotland.

hsi tunes wernt jsut like old times toh, hes changed hsi style quite a lot, i cant see many pp bashing him for not playing "proper techno" now.

If you listen to the interview then he says he is not signed to any labels as yet, but he is releasing his double album in june/july, on the primate label, which will include new time new place.

beyer rocked it down here in nyc this past weekend...he kept the room bouncing!!!!

Beyer is soo much better than mauro....track selection wise and mixing wise!!

Higlight of the night was when Beyer dropped:

Cave - street carnival! The place went nuts!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by fr0st on Apr-01-2003 03:20:

bryans zentz ownz them both.........

Posted by registerhere on Apr-01-2003 03:25:

I've seen both Beyer and Picotto live, I thought Beyer was much better all the way around however ... every DJ has their off nights and on nights

jpx:

you havent thought of that you might have heard a drunken adam beyer play? pffft

there will be no day that picotto becomes better than beyer, neither in mixing nor trackselection
