Do you have your own music style?
Most DJ's and producers have their own style of music
I've found my exact style of music too
its not a special music genre i'm talking about
this 'style of mine' music i've heard used in techno, trance and prog house tunes.
I'm in love with all music containing this !
and if I ever begin producing I will definitely try to create music like this.
Tracks that identify my style:
Nico Awtsventin - Aurelon
DJ Misjah - Inca Trail
Adam Beyer - Ignition Key (original)
Adam Beyer - Active
Epsilon 9 - Lifeformation (Infernal Machine remix)
Graylock - C.T.M (Steve Rachmad Longcut)
St. Germain - Prlusion (maybe)
Haak on the TA boards has made some wicked tunes...
and the unnamed techno tune he made (tecnofull.mp3) i like alot (03.50 <- there it begins!)
I don't know what exactly there is about those tunes..
they somehow (for me!) have the same sound effects in the background which make me hesitate for few moments
if you listen to those tunes, maybe you know what i mean..
and if you do know what i mean then maybe you could name some more tunes like them?

you have a style of your own which you love?
i'm a big fan of pretty much all genre's of electronica
prog. trance is probably my favorite
when i spin records i try to go for a mix of proggy trance and house with elements of latin and funk in the house but not drifting too far away from a sorta trancey feel. i also like to incorporate alot of breaks into my sets.
i don't like stuff thats too hard, but its always killer to throw in a nice hard or epic track right when the mood is right to just totaly blow everyone away.
I think im deffinately getting my own style
tracks that define me atm
Creamer & k - wish you were here(lexixon avn mix)
RANDOM FACTOR: Know You're There
Beber & Tamra-"Oh Well" (Sir Drew remix)
Vector - Rise
Starkid - Crayons
AURAL IMBALANCE - all their newer prog/tech tracks
Bryan Zentz - D-clash(slam mix)
AQUACULTURE - dont play the game.
Breaks/Tech-house/Prog/techno
Im also realy liking buy not realy playing out
Hydra - Afinity
Scott Bond vs solarstone - 3rd earth(who doesnt like it)
Misc armin sets
Tracks that define me:
JXL - Breezer
JXL - Tennis
Paul van Dyk - Nothing But You (Cirrus Remix)
good topic.
tracks that identify my style:
Jan Wayne- Because the night
Scooter- Weekend
in short my style is crappy!
I play all that i like from progressive to techno but my favourite style is uplifting - euphoric trance.
Some tunes that identify this are:
Alternate - Alternate
Airbase - Runaway
Airbase - Genie
Driftwood - Freeloader
Marco V - Simulated
Carlo Resoort - Remover

yeh, mainly techtrance with dark cutting melodies and electric sounds, mixed with evil and uplifting hardish trance
er, like:
that mucho - release me
solar factor - deep sonar
marco v - atlanta 020202
green martian - harmonic minor
methods of mayhem - drunk in chicago
marcel woods - serenity (both mixes)
My style ranges from dark progressive house all the way to euphoric trance, minus all the cheese and hard stuff
My Style is varied. It's like vocal Bigbeat/Breaks/Trance/Electonica. Anything with a good tune.
I've just finished my album. The main body of which is a style which I can only describe as 'ambient' but it has some additional depth to it. It has a similar feel to Airdrwandagger.
i.e.
'Fruition' could be described as progressive ambient
'Theme for an inner city' could be 'ambient breakbeat trance'
I like to merge genres and see what happens. But as well as that there is some solid tech-trance and progressive trance on the album too.
So after all that you could decribe my style as 'genre merging'.
When I DJ my sets go. Ambient ---> Progressive & Progressive trance ----> Trance -----> Tech trance -----> Techno (if I can be arsed with the techno- sometimes I stop at trance)
cass and slide - perception
let me say...it is in the hall of trance or the round table or the holy grail...nothing come close

i was bored enough to make this same thread one time... people actually replied too...
My style consists of exactly the same style of two djs/producers
Sander K & Oliver Lieb
For me
I particularly enjoy:
Bjork - Pagan Poetry (Infusion Mix)
Paul Oakenfold - Southern Sun (Gabriel and Dresden Unplugged Mix)
Sasha - Cloud Cuckoo
Infusion - Legacy (Junkie XL Mix)
Ian Brown - F.E.A.R. (Unkle Mix)
I'm usually all over the map, but usually I'm always about either the Big Basslines and/or Solid, Non-Cheesy Melodies.
Basslines:
JXL - Breezer
Sattva - Echoes of Eternity (Way Out West mix)
Echomen - Substance
Sean W. pres. H8torade - Highschool Girls (keep your eyes out for this one
)
Melodies:
JH - Nothing (93 returning)
Scott Bond vs. Solarstone - 3rd Earth
M.I.K.E. - Ofra Haza
Leama - Requiem for a Dream
Nic Vegter - Amazone Fall
my style is more euphoric/hard/epic trance
Ultra - Metro
BK - Revolution
Amara - Pulse
Cosmicman - I Love You (Shane 54 Remix)
DJ Air - Alone With Me (Flutlicht Mix)
Dogma - Dimension (Club Mix)
E.N.E.R.G.Y. - Desire 4
Foggy - Come Into My Dream (Mad Mix)
Vengaboys - Kiss (Airscape Mix)

oh and the one in my sig
Mine is best defined by tech-house going towards techno, with a little twist of progressive...
The tracks I spin a lot lately are:
Ross Couch - System check
Jerome - Maiden flight
Len Faki pres. S**t - Tha way you like it
yeah i was more into uplifting with vocals but i think im starting to go for hard trance now ,someone is convincing me just how good it is!
my styles of music is alot...here is some example...
astral projection
hybrid
armin van buuren
lvee
mike
G&Dresden
James Holden
Satoshi Tomiie
MFG
Chemical Bro
Fluke
Junkie XL
My style is rather broad it would include tracks such as:
Skywalker - At Heaven
Moogue - China Girl (Svenson and Gielen Remix)
Lost Witness - 7 Colours
NRC - Here comes the Rain
Lange - I believe
Hardliner - X-Base (Original Club Mix)
4 Strings - Let it Rain
Fire and Ice - Out of Darkness
Second Sun - Empire
Nu-NRG - Butterfly
So I guess its hard to tell what my style is. I tend to still listen to many old tracks, I think sometimes lots of the older songs/artist are unappreciated since everyone seems to be focused on the newer stuff, but I am sure many will agree with me...It just depends on what type of mood you are in...
although I love my melodic & prog stuff
heres what really defines me
Oliver Klein - Rheinkraft
Marco V - Rise! / ReVolt / Atlanta 020202 / The Mutalisk
Oliver Lieb - Metropolis (Eric Prydz Rmx)
James Holden - One For You (Oliver Klein Rmx)
Benjamin Bates - Locked Up (Original & 45 Mix)
