FUKHOUSE@SYSTEM review : ???
How was it ?
I think people are still recovering from it.
I need to rest up for tonight too... but anyway...
Well I'm not a full-fledged techno addict - I love the DJs and the dirty beats but don't know jack about the tracks - but I thought it was awesome! My personal favourites were:
1. The UMEK tracks! Not to mention a lot of other incredibly dirty tracks near the end.
2. Drizzt and Hordash pounding the concrete (
)
3. The eye candy!
Rest now, shoutouts later.
INSANE
HARD RELENTLESS POUNDING BEATS
Hilight was Pontape and Shunshine dropped by Valentino.
Beyer killed all that were left - basically everyone
Best techno night in YEARS!!
You guys missed out if you didn't go
it was good!!
carola was playing some wicked stuff...he was the highlight of my night.
beyer absolutely pounded it out. just relentless banging beats! i couldnt take more than an hour or so of his set...i was just way too tired.
anyway, the crowd was really friendly and everyone seemed to be having a blast...a fun night indeed.
steve.
amazing night. great music, great people. i had alot of fun. by the end of the night, i didn't think my legs could hold me up any more. i'm soooo tired now

Really, really friendly people (not to mention bartenders).
..holy mother of god!!.. what a night..

..got in at about 11:30, some bald dj was spinnin' (i think they just switched).. ianno wasn't too impressed, very good track selection, couple of wrecks, but i give him credit cuz later on in his set he started warming up the crowd before kanzyani came on at about 1:20..
..kanzyani>what a set, awesome mixing, awesome track selection, a nice tekhawz set that later led into a funkier set.. i was very very satisfied with his set cuz he made me dance throughout his whole set.. spotted tomaz vs. filterheadz - sunshine // leandro gamez - 1952 // mark spoon & ben sims & vincent davis - charged // the advent - recreations // umek - detolvin?? // tdr - squelch..
..carola>i knew that he was gonna go hard bangin' hard after i heard the first 3,4 tracks he dropped.. in the meantime i was chatting it up with tino and mc flasher.. he remembered me from an after party in croatia..
boy did he made me fukken groove at times.. later on tatgirl&i had an interview with him which i aced (i'm assuming i did good).. ?? ..
oh yea kanzyani said that he'll be back
.. came back to listen to listen to marco's other half of his set, and he totally had me going, i was going crazy..
spotted marco bailey - capture(petar dundov rmx) // glenn wilson - kabel // christian smith & john selway - exel // g-force - feeling?? // oxia&hacker - the last test [but this was some sick rmx] i have the original..
..beyer>ohh he was the star of the night imo, it was crazy when they went b2b for about 30mins or so.. did they go longer or what?? beyer just killed me with his tekkno!! i would stop for a second (not even!) and he had me going again, u simply couldn't stop to his musaaaq.. good fucken hard groovy tekkno.. spotted ben sims - vertigo // mr.sliff - rippin ' & dippin' p2 // technasia - force
//chris liebing - october (ben sims rmx) << [drizzt i believe this is the track that u asked me for in the morning i don't think he played rue east(mark broom) - birmingham] // monika kruse - voodoo..
..too impressed with the music the crowd the ticket price.. everything was just perfect!!
..finally toronto got to hear some good tekkno in a long long time.. thumbs up fukhouse
..
..i want ben sims here, i want oxia here, i want monika kruse here, i want trevor rockliffe here, and definitely billy nasty..
fukhouse, plz make one of those wishes come true
..
..the funniest part was in the morning at about 6:20ish.. i was saying goodbye to everyone, and then i'm about to get my jacket, and then i'm like one more track and that track had me dancing on and on.. i couldn't go home cuz i didnt' wanna miss out on anything from beyer's set..

what was:
the song that played right after Sunshine.
and
the song that had the CRAZY drum solo, that sort of sounded like "Beatiful People" by Marilyn Manson?

both good songs, but the one after was CRAZY!!!
oh god...I hurt so much...full review to come in a little while...I need my zzzz's before Barbara tonight! (I went to bed at 730 and got up to go apt shopping at 1030!)
I better see some of you peeps tonight...I'll be wearing jeans and a cross-over tie-in-the-back sleeveless shirt for a top...come say hi, you know the deal!
i guess Toronto was finally blessed with some wicked techno , glad you all had a great time
usually I find that the techno is a bit repetitive.. but carola was TOO good. He just kept pounding out great tracks - one after another. That was the first time in ages that my legs just couldn't take any more punishment. As usual a good crowd a system.,, def a great night overall (except for this short woman who whakked me in the groin a couple of times with her elbow.. I guess it is excuseable since the music was just so damn good)
I never seem to meet any TA's there though.. mabye next at PVD?

), Sake, rubyriva (no hugs for me on the way out? BAH!
), Drizztt (however you spell that), and I think that's it. Also in case any non-TA's read the reviews, props to: Marlon, Paul (guy I thought was Dr. Z at Gielen), and Adrianna (I couldn't hear anything you said the 2nd time I saw you, sorry
). I met others who knew TA but can't remember names, feel free to PM because I seem to run into you often.
Last nite kicked assssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!
Best techno to hit Toronto ever.
Can't really write a long review now- gotta save my energy for tonite's party. (I can't believe I'm going).
Valentino, Carolla, & Beyer all dropped wicked sets! Valentino is a super nice & funny guy (thanks for helping w/the interview Sake). Transcribing that long ass interview is gonna be pain in the ass tho.
I think Caulfield dropped a mix of Alice Cooper's "School's Out", which was cool cuz I love Alice.
Tune of the nite for me was "World Cup 2003" by Kiko (Sequence records) played by Carolla. Unfortunately, the Pit is out of copies.
As for this 'mystery drum track' everyone's been playing and talking about, that sampled the Good Men's "Give it Up" (Mauro dropped it).... It's called "Street Carnival" by Cave (on Ingoma label). TheNeonAlien also got the last copy available at Play De Record tonite. What a find!!!!!
Beyer also dropped "The Golden Apple" Eddie Fowlker (the song title NeonAlien has been looking for since Oct), "The Wolf" by Dave Clarke, (unknown track) Ben Sims & Mark Broome (Theory #20) & remixes of "Nobody listens to techno" and an Underworld track.
I don't think Barbara will be able to top last nite, but rubyriva, drizzt81 & I will be going.

..2 diginut: i didn't know that my pm box was full, that's why i couldn't receive any pm's in the past month or so.. i didn't know that there was a limit, sorry guys..
one of the highlights of my night: Drizzt
his dancing cracked me up (no offense, you were good). i've never seen anyone dance like that before. Rubyriva explained it to me tho. Thats how all the people in Germany dance. I remember at one point he bent over at the start of a build up of a song (and came up slowly as the buildup was rising) and some guy pats him on the back and says "are you okay dude??" I laughed.

rubyriva is on the left here (curly hair)

and they don't call Greg "Lord of the Schranz" for nothing!

Mmmmyes, I was hanging with Graham and Hordash for a good part of the night, though I was also wandering quite a bit...
And I've seen rubyriva dance crazy too, I think she just gets tired faster than Greg.
