Tiesto WMC Global DJ broadcast on Party 93.1

Wow. I must say that after this set, I have a new found respect for Tiesto. The tracklisting is absolutlely stunning, and the mixing is top notch. Kinda heavy on the vocals, and it's nothing too revolutionary, but it's fresh from the usual schlock of overpalyed tunes we've been hearing as of late.
Get it at djmixes2k.com

Set was one of Tijs better ones, tho the mixing wasn't perfect, but better than u get most of the time now

2003 Tiesto owns 2002 Tiesto. Seen him 3 times already this year and everytime his track selection and set structure keep getting better and better. Can't wait for the Concert in May

Good to hear man.
I love this set too....
But right now I'm hooked on Hybrid...

Yes it is indeed a nice set, he has a decent selection of tracks and about the comment about "not mixing perfect"...well I must say it sounded pretty clean to me...but again I wasn't looking out for that...just appreciating the tunes

I'll agree as well...first time I've enjoyed a Tiesto set completely for awhile.

Tiesto is the man and not just because of this set.

For real! I saw him in November and thought he was awesome (he was playing very similar stuff to what he's playing now). And he's back here in San Francisco on June 6th! I'll be getting in as media, too (since he's doing a tour that Sony Computer Entertainment is a major sponsor of), and am attempting to setup an interview. If I get lucky, I'll surely post it here.

The PvD set is indeed dope
Tiesto @ Wmc was mundane imo.

Yea I got this set as well, Im really in love with the new Tiesto or his style he says. Not that the old one was bad but i just thought his track selection used to be a little repetitive, but Tijs new style is great. Newa this is a good set, anyone knoe the name of the track that starts around a 11 mins or so?

Fictivision vs. C-quence - Symbols @ Tiesto Wmc G DJ B 03-21-2003
or
hydra - affinity @ Tiesto Wmc G DJ B 02-17-2003

Posted by teo on Apr-01-2003 21:23:

yeah...i heard him live on 14/02 here in Greece and ruled..it was also my first time listening to him live..

Posted by silveride on Apr-01-2003 22:31:

I heard him both at Space and at Ultra during that week here in Miami. The set at Space was awesome except for some major problems with the audio cutting off a few times. The set at Ultra wasn't all that great, he dropped a few classics, like Obsession and other Tiesto prods.

Anyway, is the set at djmixes2k any of those? Or is it just a dedicated GDJB?

I heard someone on djmixes say that this set was not Tiesto. What makes you think that its not him?

For some reason a lot of Tiesto fans have been in denial about the authenticity of all the Tiesto livesets this year. They say that Tiesto would never play Hydra-Affinity and stuff like that and that the sets are made by Cor Fijneman, which is bullshit because this set is way too slow and soft trance to be Cor.

As I've said before, I've seen Tiesto live 3 times in 2003 and the last time I saw him (about a week before the WMC broadcast) he played most of the tracks in this set. Who plays that breaks mix of Breathing other than Tijs and Armin anyways? Tiesto played it everytime i saw him this year.

Tiesto's style is always going through an evolution and is never static (except for some time in 2001-2002 when he was promoting In My Memory and ISOS3).

This set is not as varied as you would expect from Tiesto nowadays, but keep in mind that it's only 50 minutes long.
