I'm an idiot, so i'm gonna start working now. Yeehaw. Goign to move to some small town in a few months, and live there.

yikes... i dont know if you're serious, but id try to get back in school somehow, somewhere, someway, at all costs.

Posted by butterfly on Mar-31-2003 21:21:

yeah you really did fuck up. i recommend making an effort to finish school.

Posted by Nell on Mar-31-2003 21:22:

why didnt you attend?

get into another school, then maybe you should spend more time there than being drunk, making threads about it

seriously though im sorry to hear that, and if your parents kicked you out im sure they will come round eventually. stay at a friend or relative's house for a few nights but get somethign sorted in the meantime of what you are going to do.

im sure you will be able to get into another school, and if you dont theres a 101 things you can still do with your life. its not over yet matey, but start taking things seriously now, in particular, life.

how old are you anyway, 16, 17ish ? my bet says your parents wont forgive you, but will choose to forget. ive been kicked out before for numerous reasons, i really woulndt stress to much if you cna help it. keep a cool head and get on with it.

i mean, bad attendance isnt the wors tthign in the world, it snot like you murdered anyone or have got a criminal record. where there's a will there's a way you'll see. its a matter of time.

hope you feel more positive after reading that. take care,

Nell

hmm thats harsh.. i stopped going to lessons and i missed shit loads worth of work, and then i said i was gonna leave. instead of kicking me out the fecks managed to perusade me to stay. i hate school. unless what u want to do requires some kind of qualification ur better off without it.

Posted by ScratchMaster on Mar-31-2003 21:53:

Thumbs up

Stay in school mate. Not all of us end up doin what we want to for a living but have to do stuff we dont wanna do.So even if what you want to do dosen't require any qualifications you should educate yourself cause then you'll have more options.

how many classes have you missed? i've missed soooo many but luckly if I were to get kicked out (which will happen soon) i'll be able to stay at home but working but i wont be kicked out :> yay.

Posted by trancEyes22 on Mar-31-2003 22:26:

you can get back in check, but only if you want to. def dont skip a beat and not finish high school- you pretty much need a hs degree to get any job these days. i was in a similar situation in my bad girl days, but i got right back into the swing of things. dont lose hope!!

Posted by Arbiter on Mar-31-2003 22:36:

Hmm, my highschool never seemed to care that I only showed up once or twice a week. Maybe it's because I was getting straight A's?

But seriously, that's a tough break. Good luck getting things back on track.

require some kind of qualification ?

i hope you aspire beyond the midnight shift at mcdonalds... seriously you can't do anything meaningful if you can't make it through high school. stick in there, itll be worth it.

we all know its true : be cool, stay in school !

Posted by DrUg_Tit0 on Mar-31-2003 22:47:

Even with finished high school you can't get a truly decent job. It requires college or university degrees to have nice ones. But without high school the only jobs you can get will be both hard and miserably paid. And you'd have to start working right away.

Damm dood thats gonna be tough.. i suggest you seek help from the ta community im sure they will be willing to help in one way or another? im sure...

well do whatever you need to do to get back in school.

although, the time off from school, as well as working at a shitty, low paid job will make you realize that being in school and living isnt as bad as it may seem. life only get harder as you grow older, stay young - stay in school

guy i got kicked out last November for the same thing... i was smoking too much pot and staying up all night...

what i did was get full-time hours at my job and went there during the day instead of school... i didn't tell my family anything about it , and since i was 18 the school had no obligations other than to say "see you next semester"... and since i don't live with a parent it was easy to keep that charade going, i didn't tell them a thing... i just worked and with all the money i had, did even more drugs... it was nice to all of sudden have that freedom...

but eventually my family found out, and obviously they weren't too pleased but they couldn't really do anything about it... i got pretty down towards the end, being out of school and working full-time takes it's toll on you if you're not used to it... and that was compounded by the fact that i had to dance around my family and be a bastard to them...

but i got through that and just before the new semester started i went on a school trip i had already signed up for to Quebec city and had a blast with my friends there... now i'm back in school and getting 80's, my best marks in a long time and i'm working part time... i've had to cut back on blazing tho... i never thought you could smoke too much pot, boy was i wrong... i'm currently taking a 1 week break from it... this is day 1, wonder how long it'll last...

anyways, keep your head together and try to get back on the right track... i'm just realizing now that it's not worth it to fuck around ,and you should just get shit done while you can...
