Purple Heaven Leaving Toronto...

So yeah, i got this email from PH today:

hi there

Thank you to everyone who made our time in North America so much fun. We have
decided to shut down ph in Canada and take it back to the UK for the summer of
2003. The website will be discontinued as of April 1st 2003. We had a lot of fun
partying with everyone and hope you all have great success and lots of partying
in your future!

Thanks for the fun times. We look forward to seeing a few of the old crew in the
UK but otherwise have a great summer everyone!

P.S. if anyone still has a ticket from MMIH3 that was purchased at Numb or 2the
Beat please contact us directly at [email protected]. And anyone else that
still has a ticket from either of the 6 other stores you can get it refunded at
those stores.

I don't trust any news like this for the next couple days. If it is true however it is a darn shame.

damn, that's a shame, oblivion was a cool party, even though the venue was damn shitty. "club" 160. more like "room" 160.

this probably has something to do with the fact that ph lost a lot of money when mmih3 was cancelled, due to a death in jason marshall's family.

let's hope they return bigger and better!

Yup looks like its real - the site is no longer available. I think there's more to this than we're seeing but nevertheless its too bad we're losing yet another good trance party promoter but things were going downhill for awhile with them so I guess it finally came to a head.

However, we're lucky to have new and better promoters like Temporal Rythm to satisfy our Trance party needs!

Purple Heaven were the last ones who were really willing to bring in any HARD trance... We had a blast playing for them in the past few years. They will definitely be missed.

yea too bad .. kinda wished that i checked out atleast one of their parties ... ah wells .. again another nail in the coffin of trance rave promoters .. all hail the now dominant club promoters ..

It was gonna be on May 10th, but yeah... i'm waiting for a bit first to see if they actually are leaving for the summer (or forever) or if they're just pulling a long AF joke.

the party was supposed to be on the 10th of May but that was canceled, and replaced with promises of a party in september.
we'll see.
