Rasta Dual Boot in XP

Hi guys
just had another question.
How would I go abouts doing a dual boot from XP? i have XP currently loaded, can I install win98se and use dual boot?

I need win98se for something, which is why id rather use a dual boot rather than uninstall xp altogether

thanks in advance

The only way I'm aware of doing what you are talking about is to install win98se first. Make sure you have your partitions squared away first though!!

My usual process:

1) Format hard drive (or just delete/resize the partitions to save data you want to keep)

***Ranish partition manager is my manager of choice. You can get it anywhere***

2) Create 2 FAT32 partitions and format them (DO NOT format them using Ranish!! Make a bootdisk, make sure you have format.com on it, and format the partitions using the floppy! Format.com can be found in the "C:\windows\command\" directory if you have windows 98)
3) Install win98se on the primary partition (Make sure the boot flag is set or you'll have to get used to a black screen)
4) Install windows XP from inside win98se (the only way you can do it) and when asked if you want to upgrade existing or choose new installation, choose new installation.

The Windows XP installer has a FAT32->NTFS converter, so don't freak out when you think you have to stay in fat32.

the dual boot screen will come up automatically. Adjust settings and timeout by right clicking on my computer, clicking properties, clicking the advanced tab, then clicking settings in the startup and recovery frame

All the partitioning is hokey, but it works!

Easy, yes??
