riding the pitch

im just curious to know hwo many of you guys actually ride the pitch and try not to ever touch your records (except when your cueing :P)... im just trying to perfect that now and any pointers would be appreciated... i think i get it, atm im finding when making a adjustment its best to just leave it and see where it takes you ie. really listen and then make a fine adjustment the other way when needed... rather than maybe going down and then back up just a little real quick... before the record has had time to adjust.. does that make sense?

hope that made sense...
thanks

i am in the same boat, still learning now.....however it is much cleaner.

i even use it when cueing now when the beats are just out minutely, as its more accurate and you can get the exact pitch faster by using the pitch control.

you have to be very careful though when playing live, that you control it accurately, you dont want to keep riding over the bass line, you want to lock it down and keep it there!
