Can anyone be like the big DJs

Popular wise i mean..

Cause i know there rate of Djs just increased by 1000%, which is basically increasing the competition but i want to know that can anyone become like Armin or Ferry etc.

I know they've been in the industry for a long time, 10 years i think.

So does that mean if any of us Djs is here Djing for at least 10 years will get the same recognition and respect.

Or do you have to create a whole new belief, a whole new way at looking at trance such as making the next big song of the year.

The reason i'm asking this is that i really wanna be like Armin, i got many ideas for songs of the year but why do people kept unrespecting us.

Also does it matter what nationality you are. Cause i know many people hate stuff from Russia which is a real drag... (lolitas )

what i mean if it matters what nationality is because many Djs basically will get hatred against them if they are a specific nash..

what do you think...please don't flame, only a personal opinion.

I think if you're talented enough, have the right connections and are completely devoted to your music, you can become just like them.

now-days, you need to produce. it is very hard to catch the ear of a big-name guy just by spinning alone. if you notice, most, if not all, of the big onces produce now... and most of the newcomers also are producers. djing has turned into a way for these producers to perform.

if you do have the next big record that hits, then yes, it will be quite easy to become the next big thing. remember, ferry didnt spin until out of the blue hit. it really has nothing to do w/ how long you have been spinning.

Agreed on the production. But the longer your around, the better your chances. And connections are really key, as well as not being a lazy bitch lol

Awesome article in Muzik magazine, which I will most definitely re-type for fellow TA's. the tile of the article is:

"You will never become a star DJ. Here are 10 ways to get over it":

and the rest follows... Just thought it was hillarious. Of course, you should keep your hopes up but realize that DJ is even less of a profession than a musician. Of course, producer DJs are different brand, but nowdays anyone can buy FrootyLoops and make their own "track" which most people will say is "dogs bollox" just because it has DJ name on it.... And of course, it helps if your name has "VAN" in the middle....

So, there... I said it
