Satan (eek!)

What program can I use to make Cue's. How would I make cue files with only the track times?

Ok let's take a sample tracklist..

Tracklist

01 - 00:00 Paul van Dyk - "For An Angel"
02 - 04:28 Westbam vs Red Jerry - "Wizards Of The Sonic"
03 - 09:07 Warlock - "Moonshine"

And here's your standard cuefile.....

FILE "whatever_it_is.mp3" MP3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
INDEX 01 00:00:00

TRACK 02 AUDIO
INDEX 00 04:28:00
INDEX 01 04:30:00

TRACK 03 AUDIO
INDEX 00 09:07:00
INDEX 01 09:09:00

(Spacing added for clarity - u don't need to put a blank line after each track like that....)

etc.. see the pattern?

always use that format..... there are some custom tags you can use for each individual track so you can identify them by title/producer as well (for cd-readers that support extra info on each track for display) ..but I can't remember them offhand - and besides 99% of the cuefiles out there don't have that info in em.

.. You don't need a program to do it.. just use a text editor and save it as a text file with .cue extension

** If the file is in .WAV format then change the filename part of the cue file to:

FILE "whatever_it_is.WAV" BINARY

there's not much left to explain you really have to pick this one up yourself. its basically putting in the track times for the index under the track number. keep repeating the procedures until you reached the last song in the mix.
