Can anyone recommend some good albums ala DJ Shadow or DJ Cam - not so much into Morcheeba, but Massive Attack, etc. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

No trip hop without Massive Attack. You can't like trip hop and not like Massive Attack. It's a paradox.

Maybe I just need to listen again, but I cannot fucking stand Portishead. Massive Attack are fantastic, as are just about everyone else named in this thread, but I can't hack Portishead.

or maybe we just share different tastes.
i will concur that i do not love everything portishead has done, but their influence in bringing this style of music to a more "mainstream" audience is undeniable (which does not mean good once again).
