Anyone interested in GTR / Influential Records

Hi guys,

Sorry for the shameless pluggery, but if you're interested in keeping up with the latest news about GTR, producer of records like Flood Control, Psiclone, and Mistral (current favourite with Armin, Tiesto, PvD), then come and sign up to to our Influential Records mailing list.

http://www.influentialrecords.com/c...r/mojo/mojo.cgi

Not only does this mean you'll get previews of the new GTR stuff first, we're also going to be giving away free promos via this list of Influential releases on a 'first five people to reply' basis - which means you could end up with a promo at the same time as the big guys

again, sorry for the shameless plug!

Gaz

Nope, I think you'll find it was actually Acid Music 3.0

hahahaha

And yeah it is true - my laptop hates Cubase for some reason and as I made Mistral whilst on holiday in Provence this year, it went into Acid. Simple really.

To be honest Acid is a wicked sequencer, and like any sequencer, its all about the quality of the loops you're putting in. Yes, Mistral was sequenced on Acid, but I used about 10 other programs to make the actual tracks, plus layered on some pads when I got home from my synt - all in all it took quite a lot of time, just happened it was thrown together on Acid.

So there you go

I went to Gods that night but thanks to a two hour delay on virgin trains I arrived just after Lange had mixed out of it, with all my mates saying how Gods has just gone off! Gutted!!

We had two bags of grass, seventy-five pellets of mescaline, five sheets of high-powered blotter acid, a saltshaker half-full of cocaine, and a whole galaxy of uppers, downers, laughers, screamers... Also, a quart of tequila, a quart of rum, a case of beer, a pint of raw ether, and two dozen amyls. Not that we needed all that for the trip, but once you get into a serious drug collection, the tendency is to push it as far as you can. The only thing that really worried me was the ether. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an ether binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.
