Because progressive is "cool" and "underground".

It's a CD full of hard-house tracks, but by calling it "progressive punch" they con people into thinking that this brand of hard-house is cooler than the generic "boom-boomp-whir-whir!" HH tracks we're used to. Perhaps, someday, people will understand what prog music is all about, but until then we're going to have to deal with releases like "progressive-trance vol 7 feat DJ Sammy" for a while yet...
