Because of BT himself failing to make a worthy second sequel (ET that is, MiSL was good) to this masterpiece, I've been searching for something -anything- else that sounds like this, emotional and atmospheric, but failed mostly. Chicane is nearly as good, but that's about it.
Way Out West - Way Out West (1997)
B.I.G. - Mindscapes (2004)
Salt Tank - ST 3 (1994)
Salt Tank - ST 7 (1996)
Nikos Diamantopoulos - A New Life (2003)
Young American Primitive - Young American Primitive (1993)
These aren't too trance oriented but emotional and atmospheric they are for sure, IMO at least. There are many others to list, but i need to relisten them all to recall the goodies.

ESCM is an extraordinary album. If anybody finds an album close to as good as this was they'll have done very well.

i know plenty of albums that are as "good" as escm. but they aren't "like" escm. you probably wouldn't enjoy most of them yourself.
