Where do we go from here?
With so many amazing songs out nowadays it leaves me wondering where will the club scene go from here?
We have so many different genres out now witch one will excel?

will trance stay?

I live in the uk where most of the dance scene started and have started to notice some "hard house" sneaking through the speakers at nightclubs. Could this be the future? happy hardcore?

Gawd I hope not
I mean, I like both those genres but I wouldn't be able to stand either of them for more than an hour at a time, unlike trance!

Hahaha happy hardcore is ok every now and then. Sometimes I just need a break from trance, whether it be hard house, happy hardcore, and you can't go wrong with some funky electrobreakz. As long as there aren't any MCs. If MC's ever become popular I might have to go back to listening to Jay-Z and DMX haha. But trance will always be my favorite and it will always stay in the scene otherwise I will have to start killing all other DJs . . .

Ugh... MCs.... I've downloaded one too many amazing sets with some annoying motherfucker MCing and ruining it. Sorry I'm a bit cranky, I just spent 3 hours straight on my physics lab, bleh ;P

Seriously though, I have no idea where we'll go from here... probably just small changes building on small changes until we have a different/new genre (or a few). I doubt trance will go out of style because it is often light enough to appeal to the masses yet good enough to attract those of us with good taste

I can see UK hard house becoming more + more popular, and it wouldnt be too much of a stretch to have it catch onto the mainstream, we'll see....

If only we had hardcore, old skool, etc etc still with us :P

I am finding myself moving from epic trance to more darker progressive trance, progressive house and minimal techno....

I am a bit sick of the normal sequence structure of a typical epic trance song, well that's me, I am now looking and experimenting with something more "electronic-sounding" and mind challenging and stimulating...

It is pretty hard to tell where the scene will be heading as trance (as much as other genres) is evolving at such a fast pace....
At least I know where I am heading... lol
All in all, trance is definitely here to stay, it is evolving as we speak....

Latez,

I thin trance is in a perfect position as it is.. its got enough followers to guarantee its future, and its not so popular (in most places) that it makes people sick to hear the same songs over and over again. I'm a fan of all kinds of trance.. sometimes i like to chill and listen to it, other times i dance my ass off to it, its so symphonic and beautiful, more comparable to classical music than anything... Ok sorry, I'm rambling now. But thats just my 2 cents.
