ok i posted a thread on some ideas for good progressive trance. and i downloaded a lot of the stuff. but i guess i just didnt know what progressive trance is cause i was expecting it to be really upbeat and energizing. but most of it was pretty mellow. so is it supposed to mellow if so then what type of music am i looking for thats really upbeat. like darude - sandstorm(cept something i havent heard so much as that) hard but not too hard? pls help im new to this and its so hard to figure out sometimes. thanks a bunch...layla

progressive music usually peaks only a hand full of times in a dj's set. if you're looking for the upbeat stuff, try uplifting, epic trance and tribal trance [like ive said before, at 138 bpm, that stuff will get ya movin!.]

progressive trance is more deeper and downtempo.. because of the name "progressive"
more upbeat.. u'd be lookin at uplifting, or hard trance.. or something like that =)
