So I don't think I've heard anything LDC until now. I guess Torsten really really was the shit back then. Alone It's Me also kind of blows me away. Culture Beat - Mr. Vain was a natural first meeting with his music, and became the first single I bought. It's been 20 years since he passed away today, I couldn't let it go unnoticed. Big ups to him.

I like Culture Beat since "I like you" and "No deeper meaning", so from the start.
I had the first one on the Turn Up The Bass 6 compilation of 1991 and bought the maxi of the 2nd.
Serenity was an awesome album, great memories.

Indeed, deserves to be mentioned, so thanks for that.

Yes, you're right, my mistake, too long ago..., I meant pretty much from the start that they got exposure. They also released "Tell Me That You Wait" in 1990 but only "I like you" was reaching the charts, at least over here it did. I didn't really like those first two, also never heard them at the time. Der Eerbeermund I heard first much later, when they became more popular. I bought the Horizon album even after I bought Serenity.

Their last track I really liked was "Pay no mind", the maxi has some beautiful remixes, the DJ Taucher and Aboria GC Remixes. Also a nice dnb remix (Ocean Pacific Remix): http://www.discogs.com/Culture-Beat...nd/master/74878
