TA 2008 TOTY: 2nd Half Nomination Thread OPEN
Welcome to the end of 2008 fellow TAs! The time has come once again for us to nominate our favorite tunes of the past 6 months. Back in the summer we nominated our personal top 10 tunes for the 1st half of 2008 and, with the help of a point-weighted system, the 20 tunes that will represent the first half of 2008 in the final polling are as follows:

Now, it's time to nominate your top tunes of 2008's latter half!
Nominating Instructions
Voters are instructed to nominate their top 10 tracks from the 2nd half of this year. Make sure these tracks were released within this time period (July through December). Feel free to nominate any tracks that were released in June that you feel didn’t receive full notoriety until the second half. Obviously, do not nominate any of the tracks already representing the first half. Not sure when a track was released? Look it up at www.discogs.com.
Please be specific with your nominations; this means you need to indicate the remix name if the track is not the original track. For example:
Kosmas Epsilon - Cookies (Amine Edge Remix)
Clearly define your order of preference as these votes will be weighted to determine the most popular tracks. Try to follow this pattern:
1 Artist – Song
2 Artist – Song
3 Artist – Song
4 Artist - Song
5 Artist – Song
6 Artist – Song
7 Artist – Song
8 Artist - Song
9 Artist - Song
10 Artist - Song
If you fail to number your nominations then it will be assumed that the first track is your first choice, the second track is your second, and so on and so forth.
The point system goes as follows:
1st selection = 10 points, 2nd = 9, 3rd = 8, 4th = 7, 5th = 6, 6th = 5, 7th = 4, 8th = 3, 9th = 2, and 10th = 1.
The 20 tracks with the most points after the end of this nomination period will be locked in and will represent the 2nd half of 2008 in January’s Polls. Please vote only once. You can change your selections by editing your original post up till the lock date.
The 2nd half nomination period will commence 1 December and close 22 December with polls opening up right after this second and final three week nomination period.
This year's polling system will be identical to the one used last year. Please refrain posting anything accept nominations in this thread. If you have any issues, questions, or concerns PM me so that I may address them.
To reiterate from my 1st half thread, this will be the 4th and final year I will conduct the Track of the Year contest!
