Eric's mix is really, really big.
Both are probably too big for me, but nice none the less.
Heard this played last week by Wink. It's a neat concept but towards the end I was really anticipating a drop that never happened. The track basically just trickles off before it ends. If I ever played it out I would mix a track with a huge bassline into this one to keep momentum because it was definitely lost by the time the track was over.

Isn't that kind of how a lot of techno works though?
I guess I just don't always expect that the tracks are going to do all the work for me, tunes like this (in my mind) are basically just big segues into something else.

it's like a leaf floating on a calm creek as it glides gently into a quiet pondOH WAIT WHATS THAT A ROCK IS STICKING UP OUT OF THE WATER. and then the leaf gets stuck on the rock but by that time you have to go home cause the sun is setting and it's getting a bit chilly.

Not all techno works that way.
I just felt like this track was buttering me up to something big and that simply didn't happen. It's not a bad track though. The concept works and it got people excited.

I heard the Cirez D mix @ Studio A when Nic played it... it keeps building and building, then the bass filters out and I expected it to drop any second, but it just slowly slides back in, and the whole time I'm thinking WTF?
