New debut Ripperton album on Joris Voorn's Green imprint. Features three versions, CD, 3x12" Limited Vinyl, and digital. From the audio samples it sounds brilliant. A blend of various styles showcasing Raphaël's amazing diversity as a musician - House, Techno, Abstract, Trip-Hop, Ambient. Gorgeous melodies, brilliant production value, deep hypnotic grooves, soulful vocals, tantalizing hi-hats, a multitude of variation, collaborating musicians and vocalists of different backgrounds, and an overall impressive release. I've embedded all samples of Niwa on this thread via Ripperton's SoundCloud.

based on the samples...it seems like one of those albums where sound design and sound quality received a conscious effort. might be best listened to in the car with a good stereo system, driving to malibu beach around dusk, and then down PCH. You might hit some traffic, which might go with the energy of some of the tracks...
might be worth listening to in that context to get a closer feel for it...

The whole CD is just fucking great imo.
Also the first single release on Green as 12" is Random Violence with a perfect 10 of a Joris Voorn Remix on the flip
Rips just put up a free promotional track out earlier today, Modal Love, in celebration of the Niwa album release. Enjoy suckas! A deep atmospheric groover along the lines of ambient techno and tech-house.
