Maybe I should pick this up. The original release arrived warped and I could only play the Askew mix!!

I've got the release on Dutyfree. I really like this tune but for some reason I can't mix it properly. It's beats are a bit too hard compared to other tracks I play.

Interesting that u mention this.. I just mixed a set where i went into floor control pretty well from pvd's edit of Holding onto Nothing. Mixed out of floor control with the classic Picotto mix of new years dub. Cheers.

Excellent melody, the track is simply beautiful. The only complain I got is on askew's remix, he sort of changed the key that starts the climax of the song. In the beginning this pissed me off so badly, but now I've started to like it and somehow i've put both mixes separately and like them both for their own now, anyway, great release from the bastards at Vandit.

Original 9/10
Askew's 5am Gallery Remix 9/10

like ive said before...askews mix destroys the tune...such as his other remixes....i prefer original much more...i guess the askew mix has more energy but i prefer the better melody.

Yeah, sometimes he does that. The original Sensorica - Few Days Away is a lot better than his remix.

I agree... the original mix is my favorite of the two, and it is much more difficult to mix with than the john askew remix. The intro of the original is so short, and the kick isn't very prominent compared to synths and other background noise. I love it, but have a hard time using it in mixes. Sensorica and Floor Control original mixes have more energy than the john askew remixes. I love "the door," but I haven't heard many other john askew productions accept maybe introspection that even compare.

My only problem with the original is there are too many breaks for my linkings. Still a great tune however.
