As some of you know, I am one of the organizers for the PRISM parties that happen during Toronto's Gay and Lesbian Pride Week. We're gearing up for the 2005 event and are busy hiring our headline DJs.

There are five themed DJ events and we've lined up DJs for three of them (a fourth is almost signed). I'm looking for opinions on who we should get as the headliner for the main party, called "Joy" (was called Pride Ball last year).

Any ideas?

Well how big can you go?

Speaking as a gay man that never goes to any of the gay clubs/events anymore because of the pitiful music played at most of the gay venues, and judging by the numbers of gay guys I meet going to hear the likes of Paul Oakenfold, Tiesto, etc at the more mainstream clubs. Book a world class trance DJ like Paul Van Dyk, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Oakfold, or Tiesto. Now that would be amazing, and I would have to come out, but I guess I am dreaming, but then you did ask.

We can go pretty big (around the Ferry Corsten range). My personal preferrence would be a world class trance DJ (its the music I like to hear when I go out) but trance could be a hard sell. Most of the circuit boys can't keep up with the BPMs.
