So that movie Honey is on now, and the Guv looks really good. If only it wasn't so EMPTY as they make it seem, and with a proper DJ (Mark Oliver) on the decks, it would've been even better

Me and some of my girlfriends used to religiously watch Queer As Folk.. and for the first 2 or 3 seasons they filmed all the club scenes in the show at the Guv..
i realized this while the show was in its last season and we were re-watching them all on dvds.. i remember saying
" Wow... those fans above the bar look really familiar.. i think i've seen that in a bar before" and then upon closer inspection 3 of us realized it was the Guv...
i don't know why they stopped filming the scenes in there though... cause the club set up they had after was no where near as cool looking!

i believe a lot of the scenes in the 1st few seasons of QAF were filmed at FLY as well.

A buddy of mine from highschool, Matt was an extra in a few of the club season from season 1 I think. It was filmed at Fly though for the scenes he was in... or atleast I know it wasn't at Guv anyways.

They filmed right across the street from my place as well! (avenue/eglinton area)
