Review: Alex Kenji, Footwork...
Well, I didn't know what to expect walking in. I own a fair amount of his tracks, but I hadn't yet heard a full set - and I was unsure of what direction it would go in. However, a few tracks in, I knew I'd be pleased.
He played continuous bangers; great techy house, with the occasional enchanting vocal ambient track. I would have enjoyed a couple more melodic inserts, but overall, I was more than satisfied - I'd absolutely check out another set.
He's a good person to watch behind the decks; lots of little tweaks here and there, great sense of breakdown usage, and overall an exciting DJ to watch play.
I wish, however, that someone would have pulled the people out of the booth before, as expected, one of them managed to smack the pause button while doing some super fantastic hype dance. Weaksauce.
Cheers footwork for a great night! I'll definitely check out Kenji any time he comes to town!
Glad to see some TA's out there as well; you guys make the nights legendary

However, there is also a chance that you will be re-directed to a horrid vision that will claw away what remains of your dwindling childhood innocence. Are you willing to take that risk? I thought so... I thought so.
