What an incredible party!!! Martinez Bros rocked the house, pure party toones! Honey Dijon took us a loop. It was my first time seeing her, and she was everything and then some.
Satoshi is in a league of his own. He turned the club upside down. His grungy progressive dark beats completely surrounded me. I danced half the night away with my eyes closed. He is a genius on the decks.
Everyone was on their A game. I'm still shocked that there was not one dull moment. From start to finish the beats kicked my ass.
That is definitely the party of the year.... so far.

Enjoyed all the sets by the artists in the main room for the majority, but as metioned by Katie and Cribbz already - Satoshi Tomiie took a room that had been exposed to funky/fun/tribal/classic/salsa house (new genre for y'all) - into a complete 180 degree turnaround of mood and sound. Uplifting scary deep prog with sprinkles of sunshine dust. He did what most DJ's can't do in 8 hours, in 2. So much in fact, I forgot to go to the lounge to pick up my gear, only to find the entire room dismantled and my bag/music/camera/recorder/headphones/cables completely missing.
Luckily, the extremely nice and trustworthy sound guy who I met THAT NIGHT did a pretty honest deed and found Carey to drop it off in the office, nothing missing. Sad to think I doubted whoever grabbed it, would at least snag the camera for 'a finders keepers reward' - this guy tracked me down (running) because security told him I was "a kid about to go apeshit'
That's my review. Thank you Carey/Pat and crew for putting on another gem. Looking forward to Love MUSIC v.2.0 - and even moreso - the return of Tomiie, for an open to close epic journey.

They're all crazy. Even you. You're all...crazy."
"Even me?" she said.
I thought, "Oh right, if I categorically eliminate all other people, it's just me and her. She'd like that.
"Especially you" I said.
"You are virtually the ring leader, the way I see it."
Then, I blew out the candle.

I should add that his set last night was better than any previous set I heard from him at Sonic, Boa, or the Docks.... easily. In 2 hours. Ya.
Martinez Bros. = house with a latin flare (got a little tribally at times too) and I enjoyed it a lot = <3
Miss Honey Dijon = fun, party house (a little darker than the Beats Ahoy set) = <3 <3
Satoshi Tomiie = dark, dirty prog house at its best...it started a little slow for me at the beginning, but the tracks and build-ups got more and more intense as the set progressed = <3 x 10000000
Notable tune for me: Armand van Helden - You Don't Even Know Know Me...I was so pleased to see how many people went totally mental over this track (me included)...lol.
For anyone who was there for the very last track for Tomiie's set, I must get an ID for that. Totally jammed to it like it was nobody's business (with my jacket on...haha).
Best 2010 party for me easily.
