Review: Congorock & Bad Boy Bill @ BETA March 12th
Wow what a great night, went in with very different expectations and was completely blown away by the whole evening. One of my most enjoyable nights out this year by far. The venue was packed with excited people who all enjoyed the music and really made the night.
I got there at 11:30 and waited in line for 10 min, security went by quickly and smoothly and managed to get into coat check line right away. That line was pack as always but I manged to check my coat so I was happy. Everything is running much smoother there now and staff know what to expect, was very comfortable the whole night partying.
Congorock was playing when I got there (I believe he was opening for the night), and he played a really great set with similar energy as his Family Day set at the drink. He keep the crowd dancing with a great build up for Bad Boy Bill. Now that was something I was not expecting. I never heard of him till this point so tried finding sets of his on the internet for a few days to get a feel for what the night would be like, and had a real difficult time and was surprised when I did discover a few the earliest being 1992, this guy has been DJing long before I was born I realized. But man I need to give him mad respect, his set made Beta go on fire last night, and the crowd was going nuts. The energy and music was just fantastic and didn't stop coming until he finished. Kurtbraddd closed for the evening and did a a great set that continued well from BBB's, and progressed to a nice low vibe by the time the place was closed and empty.
Credit for the lighting of the evening, it complemented the sets well and really made a good effect for the night. Great job as always.
Overall I had a great time, and look forward to seeing John O'Callaghan tomorrow with Glen Morrision.
