Love John The Dentist

Well once again John The Dentist reminded me why I have always thought he is great. His set was "No Fluff Just Stuff". But for me the best part of the night was chillin with the man after his set, my friends and I all had really long chats with him. And when we asked how Toronto compared to London, He said he prefers playing here, and would love to move here if he could.

Also told him about how my boy Cedric proposed to me during his set at Big Bud back in March he was delighted that we have a special place for him. Also let him know that when we get married we are having a little after party and would be honored if he would spin for us which he said he would.

alrite wells here it goes ... got to Viva at about 11:58pm with Endlesswave to get in with $15 for our 'Dentist Appointment'. Luckily we somehow made it, unbelieveable given the driving conditions outside and bumped into TranceNerd while getting in.

SO anyways the place was obviously dead before midnite which goes to show that the usual clientel does not mind the steep cover. We chilled in the VIP area for most part of the start and then at around 12:45am ... BOOM, ALL THE LIGHTS AND SOUND IN THE WHOLE CLUB GO DEAD!!

yes.. there was actually a blackout. I overheard a bouncer say something about a blown fuse and lights going out around the area but i think it was either lightning or some idiot hitting a pole. Anyways, the music was back on in about 5 minutes but it was pretty funny to see that club all dead like that heh ..

Okay .. so gettin back to the music.. by the time Jon got on the decks that place was pretty packed. He begun with some easy vocal stuff and gradually moved into the wickid uplifting trance that many of us love! His set was a sick mix of everything hard and uplifting with some great favourites.. some random ones i can briefly recall:

Mauro Picotto - Back 2 Cali (Push Remix)
Marco V - Simulated
Push - Strange World
Goureyella - Ligaya

The crowd went berzerk when he dropped none other than ..

Push - Universal Nation !!

oh man hearing that track live on Viva's system completely destroyed me. totally memorable. He also dropped:

Push - The Legacy .. which he actually accidentally bumped into his decks and made the track skip to the rift!! It was unfortunate since i think he was gonna work on the track a little but funny at the same time to see his reaction heh ..

so yea .. all in all it was a killer nite. Mark Oliver again played a great closing set that you would seldomly hear at Guv these days (maybe cept recently).

Only downside to the night was losing my bracelet that my gf gave me..

Shouts go out to Endlesswave, TranceNerd, TranceXtasy, Flec, and of course meetin Swamps as usual. Also gotta thank you and Itikia for once again bringing some great talent to our city.. not to mention Talla2XLC on Nov 29th ! w00t ..

so there ya have it.. the Dentist drilled my teeth.. and now i'll have my bed.

HOLY SHIETTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just got home right now after chillin for a bit but I've got to say that this may be one of the best nights ever!!!!

Got there around 11.45 and as usual the place was dead till about 1? Hartec was totally destroying me, I love this guy!!!!!! sweet hard bangin' stuff that me and my friends were diggin.

Then all of a sudden the lights went out, and we had to wait till they get their power back up. A few nervous minutes later Viva was back up and running.

When JTD came on he totally tore the house down. Holy shit! That was the best set I have heard in a long long while. He was interacting with the crowd and you can tell he was having such a great time. I lost my voice screaming so much. Met Swamper and chilled with him for a while (swamper you are one funny ass dude!!!
)

Highlight of the night was when Swamper told me that they have JTD's liveset recorded and he was gonna post it in the Toronto forum first for us to get it.

I can't wait to get my paws on this memorable set! Fellas if you missed Jon the Dentist, YOU MUST GET THIS SET IT ROCKS!!! SWAMPER PLEASE HURRY!!

After his incredible set, got a chance to meet him and chatted with him. JTD is such a nice and class guy. I welcomed him to Canada and he told me he loved it here.

As for the crowd, it was awesome. I was partying with everyone that was there around me, the vibe was great! Everyone was so nice, people were buying me drinks everywhere, even the bouncer whom i just met there was buying me drinks too.

Mark Oliver was awesome tonight! I never heard him threw down a set like that at Guv. I can't believe he played Flight 643 and even Silence, but it was all good.

All in all, what a fantastic evening! I can't wait till the liveset is up! Thanks swamper.

He played Uni Nation?!?!?!?!? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY WASN'T I THERE?!?!?!?!

Goddammit! I would've actually paid the $15 just to hear that song and then go back home...

Tiesto better drop this in December, or I'm gonna bust "Flowerpots" head...

Unfortunately they didn't record the set because we didn't let them know it was ok to do - so they didn't - we just assumed they would... Ugh, no worries - next time
