i've been browsing a lotta other websites lately looking for info about other related TO events , and it's always interesting to see what other communities think about the parties that TA's hit up ..
i found comments on 'raver' type msg boards as well as 'clubber' type boards .. i've always gotten the impression that TA lied somewhere between the two .. actually on the contrary , nah , we're just TA's ..
i've also seen comments from Tribe.ca, groove.ca, torontoraves.com, etc.. and even in the Westcoast and other TA forums ..
hrmmz.. looks like the club is starting to draw some .. errmmz.. 'attention'..

see the link u posted wouldnt be a nice one ...cos cmon...guvcrew.com?
as it is the dude started off by calling it "mini guv" which starts off his biased review.
ears bleeding?? wtf...i remember my ear drums breaking when i went to see tiesto cos guv had the bass frequencies fucked
AND SHAYA007...i know u read these boards... i dont tihnk viva has any intention of being the "mini guv" or related in any form
its far superior in terms of capacity, lighting and atmosphere
alrite sorry my bad .. wasn't trying to start anything here now. and my appologies if i inadvertantly do. obviously everyone is entitled to their own opinions and if they wanna think of Viva as a 'mini Guv' then so be it. Many of the legendary clubs in Europe are not known because they're necessarily huge super clubs, rather they're famous because of the vibe they bring. Even all the MTL TA's who keep priding themselves on Aria know that Aria isn't at big as the Guv complex so they try to find the other asthetics to give them the edge.
So again, let's not take this thread as some Viva VS. every other club out there debate. I still respect the Guv and what they've done for the reputation of our city. And I personally don't think that Viva should try to be 'like the Guv', rather it should look to set its own trends and reputation as a great club. I just thought it was interesting how Viva is finally getting a reputation as a great up and coming place for trance. Besides, it's kinda nice to know that TOTA's finally have a place to call their own as well ..
wasn't it not too long ago that there were a lot of us complaining that there weren't any real 'trance' venues in the city and how when the Guv did have trance DJ's come in we always had some kind of peeve about the party/crowd? Now we finally have a place that throws parties that are catered to the tastes of tranceaddicts .. and for that i'm thankful..

I'm not in any position to judge Guv, cuz I've never been there.
but Viva is simply amazing. They have done so much in a year. Give them another year or two, and I think this club will be legendary.... worldwide.

A couple points I want to make...
(1) Are Viva and Temporal Rhythm one and the same? Otherwise we are confusing the club (owners, managers, staff) with the promoters.
(2) Going to a site called guvcrew.com might not bring about the most non-biased opinions about other clubs than guv itself.
(3) One thing I noticed about saturday night, is that the vibe, the music is NOT about the club. All it has to be is a fucking room, with walls, a p.a and someone who knows what they are doing on the decks.
