REVIEW: STARLIGHT Waterloo-Sat. Nov. 20th
WOW!!!!!
What an amazing LOCAL EVENT!!!!!
It was my first visit to this place. My buddy Ryan invited me to come out for the night. Very Chillin' place in the beginning of the night. We were chattin it up and having a few drinks. Music was alright....and then came on the DJ who goes by the name, "THE MOLE." This guy was amazing. WICKKKKKED TECHNO SET!!!! I met a lot of cool people and saw some old familiar faces!!! I had a blast. Danced like a fuckin' champ like always. I can now say I am the dancing QWEEN of KW REGION!!!!! I left this place feeling SO AMAZING!!! I drank 1 redbull and 3 rye and coke....and wow....I was FLYING!!!! The music is just that great when you feel HIGH without doing any drugs! The people were GREAT (except for these 2 BEEYACHES dressed in black who were drunk out of their MINDS getting in my way of dancing!!!) VIBE WAS TERRIFIC nevertheless.
WONDERFUL weekend overall. Thanks to all those who came out!!!
MWAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
xox

FACK! i so should have checked this out, but my account was facked and wasnt letting me get money out. never been to a techno set yet, so i wanted to check it out, but i'll have to wait for another time. haha you never cease to amaze me with the vibe you put out when you dance. lets hope theres some more local stuff happening sometime soon thats decent. purple room with trance and abit of house on friday, and a techno set at starlight on saturday, keep this local stuff coming. sometimes its good to stay around the area (when you can), save some $$$ and hang out with the local crew. give the body abit of a break, even though it stil seems like we go crazy weither its in a big club, or a small "purple room" lol. untill next time...

Aahahahah sure Dan, how much did you spend on Friday again? Yeah, that's right.
Goddammit, I had the shittiest night ever. My friends decided to go to Loosechange Louie's at 11, so I just went home. Going home and doing nothing is better than Louies. Ugh what a dirthole.

We need to keep KW TAs better informed of local events.

The Mole was sickly sweet. What he threw down just blew my mind. Every loop he layered just added to the intensified funk. There aren't too many performers who can simultaneously put the head and feet into overdrive like this guy does. Great support sets by Sweetstretch and Jay Hunspberger doing his usual groovy minimal live PA.
Glad you enjoyed yourself, Kelly, although I didn't really doubt you would, haha! Do it again soon, eh?
Cheers,
Ryan
