On April 18, 2002, a young teenage male was raped, raped with a stick, forced to watch others have intercourse, burned at least five times with cigarettes, urinated on in his mouth, held down and kicked numerous times, kicked so hard he had a boot imprint on his head, stoned with 10-kilo rocks, and then left for dead in a Caledon, Ontario forest with more than 40 distinct injuries.

Two of the guilty were both 16, and as a result of this, they are both being protected by the Young Offender's Act. What this means, is that the two of them face a MAXIMUM sentence of 5 years, and will then have their criminal records erased, because of the Young Offender's Act. This petition is looking to have the two minors who are scheduled to face trial in 2005, to be tried as adults.

i agree.. at 16, one should be able to tell right from wrong .. there's no excuse for this, especially for a crime this extreme
