Music when you are travelling

Hey guys, I was just wondering if you listen to music when you are travelling (aside from a car). Like, do you use a portable CD player or an MP3 player.

I recently picked up my little bro's iPod and started going to uni listening to it. I take the subway.

I had got into progressive a little while ago, and I've been listening to some pretty insane tracks while I am on the subway. It's a whole new world when you have progressive house playing through your MP3 player.

But yesterday, I had the uplifting playlist on... anthem after anthem... I was brought to tears almost. I saw the path I travel on differently - like, going on the same train for the past 2 years seemed like a new journey for me. Listening to Tenshi, and then Out of the Blue, and then Sun is Coming Out (by Ayla) was just amazing.

Sorry, I'm just rambling

but it was quite a moving experience!!!!!

I use a portable Minidisc player. Works great, records up to 5 hours of music on 1 disc (quality is as good as the source). iPods kick ass, I'm so glad they came out with a pc compatable version, if my MD players breaks down I'd get an iPod.

I bring mine to school almost everyday. It serious helps me survive the boring classes and note taking. I usually have either Tech-Trance on it or epic, but occasionally I'll throw in some chillout/ambient...Blank & Jones - Desire (Ambient Remix) sends me to a different world EVERYTIME I hear it...so nice

look out of the subway window in a tunnel when listening to psy

look at the trees in the open on a subway while listening to progressive (ok im not stoopid)

*stoopid Liam runs around screaming "I AM GOD"*

actually... the best way to listen to trance is watching chaos. That's the only reason I go to my school's "Physics Club". People go there and talk about physics.. and they always end up yelling at each other, trying to prove their case on how some physical law/theory works. They wave their hands and they're in each other's faces about random shit i dont even know what they're talking about. But of course.. i've got my cd player and ripped trance cd going on at full blast. Chaos + Trance = beauty. Try it sometime.. when people are arguing or beating the living shit out of each other. Turn on that trance and enjoy

always. You'll never see me without my cd player and a case of cds when im going to any of my classes. I listen to it when im commuting, or studying in the library. For me, trance lets me concentrate and gets me calm also During exam time...studying for them would be impossible if i had my no trance

I listen to my cd player all the time when I'm on the subway. I've also gotten lost a few times when I'm listen to some psy and it takes me to another world. One time I was on the subway and needed to get off at Yonge street, I was so lost in the music and wasn't paying attention to anything else and the next thing I knew, I looked up and it was Kipling Station!!!! I totally missed my stop by a good 20+ stations...LOL

I always have my earphones in all over campus. If I'm reading in the library or something sometimes I have to find a quiet place where I can just zone out and listen and do my work. I always listen on the bus too...watching the scenery around me go by. Then I get to my destination and I'm like "shit, I wanna hear the rest of this set!" but I have to shut it off and go to class or whatever.
