I'm puzzled.

I bought a fish for Christmas, and it's now in an aquarium on my desk. And, until now, I had always thought that ants didn't like water, as they couldn't swim. However, I've noticed that some ants are trying to reach the fish and even getting in the water to do so. They eventually die, as they can't breathe underwater, but this is still weird.

What the hell is going on here‽

But, unless there are tiny invisible particles, there's no food left in the aquarium... it's a small Betta fish, and it eats a small amount of food once a day.
