if you drive 15,000 miles per year in a car that gets only 10 miles per gallon (as the very worst, like the cadillac, do...even the bigger hummers get 12-15 or something), you're still only paying an extra $1500 per year from a $1 increase in gas prices. If somebody's paying $6,000+ per year just for a lease on something, it's not so insane, especially since a much more reasonable number, like 20 mpg for 10,000 miles is only an extra 500 bucks a year. OMG HOW DO YOU PAY FOR GAS is a pretty pointless question.
