Oh, parents and their weird pronunciations.
To this day I say something along the lines of /kən'neɪst mɪwk/ (kun-NEYST miwk) in Portuguese, instead of /kən'denst mɪwk/ (kun-DENST miwk) for "condensed milk", which would be standard in Brazil. People outside São Paulo often mock me for that. And, for the record, I know there's no "w" in milk, but that's how we aw row
