So, I walk into a CD store and pick up my long desired GU017 by Tennaglia, I dont open it immidiatley, I wait a couple of days.
Yesterday I came home with sum Tribal on my mind and thinking, why dont we listen to the new CD I picked up.
So I take the foil off, and glance at the tracklist few times,
I open the jewlcase, and OMFG the 2 CDs are missing!!!!
I was shocked, I thought I might be hallucinating or something, so I thought (I cant believe I actually did this) I'd close and open again maybe theyll appear, but NO
Anyway I was "pissed as a fart" (Loco Dice), so now I cant listen to my GU until I go and replace it, BAH.
Ever happend to you?

best line ever

All originally packed? Well, happened to a friend of mine, too. But they made no problems at all when he went there...was immediately replaced.

Yeah that happened to me a long time ago,
I went to Circuit City and picked up Trance II (trans) a state of altered conscious - a 2 CD cet mixed by Noel Sanger.
Anyways , there was nothing in it, no CDs, so when i took it back they said sure I can replace it for free with the exact same CD.
Well turns out there was no replacement. I must have gotten the only copy in the store. SO every couple weeks I would go back to ciruit city when they got new shipments in to czech and see it it was there, but it wasnt.
I finally found a copy when I went up to visit relatives in Michigan! we stopped at a Circuit City up there and I found the CD and I still had my original reciept so they took it and i finally got the CD case with CDs in it!
Funny now..how I hardly listen to that CD now, even though the ordeal i went thru to get it..
eh, c'est la vie

If I were you I would have had my money refunded from Circuit City, and bought the CD off the Internet. Oh well, you hardly listen to it anyway. ;-) Glad to hear it all worked out in the end.

PS. This has never happened to me, but it is easily imaginable... just an error at the packaging company. It must happen when hundreds of thousands of CDs are packaged every day.

ehm, you probably mean a fault from the cd-store
or do they sell cd-cases with the CD's allready in them in your cd-store? (I mean, in Holland you get the cd-case bring it to the desk and the employee from the record-store gets the CD from the storage room and then you pay)

The CDs are already in the case...I can see thats why they would do that though to prevent theft. Most music stores in the US have little security things inside the cd case so if you try to steal it an alarm goes off.

The thing with circuit city is u can only exchange for the same item of equal or lesser value if its already been open.. (at least at the Circuit city i got it from)
