hi guys relationship stuff again.
right me guys in the czech, just had a heart to heart in messenger, probably not the best place to do it, but at the moment we dont have much choice.
I asked him wot his plans were, he said that he wanted to come home be with me, maybe move in over the summer, then go away for 2 - 3 months of the year to work in Thailand teaching thai kids how to speak english, mean while still having a relationship with me)
i said no way hosay basically. I dont do long distance relationship to well, the last one failed miserably with a massive head fuck to go with it.
i am strong minded but not strong hearted, i know i would never be able to cope with that kind of relationship. He says he is thinking of us long term. cos he can earn mega bucks working abroad.
so basically i told him i would have his stuff re turned to his mums for him.

to top it all off i rang me sister for support, and she said i was out of order dumping him whilst he is abroad, and in messenger.
but wot am i suppossed to do.
its hurting me just as much as him.
i cant do long distance relationships.
i really love the guy, i do have alot of trust in him so its not the thai ladies bothering me.

i dont know enough background to say whether you did the right thing. long distance is hard, i dont know if i could do it.

I'm not going to take sides. I will say that relationships are utterly painful experiences but worth it for the long run because you end up finding the one eventually and living together till something happens (one dies usually). I will say this tho, don't jump to conclusions or make snap decisions about this. I would sleep on it and maybe wait a few days to make the decision. You have to search yourself and decide is he worth it?, is he doing this for you? should the relationship be put on hold?. Lots of searching questions and lots of unanswered questions (only you really have the answers). So don't jump into this and make a snap decision, think it out, you do have time to make a decision and think about it.

yeah you should think about it. i am currently in a long distance relationship now (germany and the US), and i know how hard it is. it tears me apart some days to be so far away , but i know that there is an end to it, so i think of that. 2-3 months isnt that long really and you at least know there is an end in sight.
but if you really feel that you cannot absoultly do it, then i guess break up with him. is there something else inside of you that you want to break up with him and you may be using the long distance as the reason. i mean if you really loved him and knew that ultimatly in the end you want to be with him forever then dont do it. or are you just not ready for the serious commitment??
if you stick with the long distance choice, it will make the relationship that much stronger.

and doing it over instant messenger really sucks, i would have at least called him, that way you can hear voice inclinations and what not, but if instant messenger was your only choice, then well it still sucks...

That part's important. It's hard for me to say whether or not you're doing the right thing in breaking up, but doing over instant messenger is just... crappy. I think you should have the guts to at least call, if you can't wait long enough for him to come back home to do it in person.

My b/f sent me a really sweet letter, re assuring me we will be ok if i just give it ago. I am beginning to think i made the wrong decision. He is going to ring me tomorrow and we can decuss things a bit more deeply.
I do really love him, and i did think we would be together forever, but the words "working abroad 2 - 3 months a year"
has sent a wave uncertaintity through me.
he says i am a hot head and i need to think about what i will be giving up if i decide to end this.
he is really sweet and we have been through alot together, and come through alot, of wot maybe we shouldnt have come through, if we wasnt meant to be.
My head is spinning with so many questions that i cant find the answers.
