northern lights
anyone seen em?
i saw them lastnight shit they are so fucking awesome
i havent seen them since i was like 6 years old.
there was some red at the eges but it weas mostly just whitish/pale green it was whipping all around DAMN!
apparently the sun is at the peak of its cycle ofr "solar weather". in other words about every 11 years its amount of solar flares and stuff like that reach a violent peak,....what i show.....cheack it out if u can!

hey do U have pix or U know a site that has them? I always loved skies, sunrise/sunsets.. whatever brings colors to the sky
the infinity, in so many colors, shapes... so uplifting, and relaxing...
U R lucky to see them... very lucky

yeah, that's it. Would love to see it with my own eyes. but here in Holland we hardly can't see it, sometimes way op north, but never that clearly. Two years ago we went Hungary to see the sun eclipse. That was beautiful (and strange!) too: we went to a festival, the Eclipse-festival and watched the eclipse with thousands of party-minded people. I'll never forget that!

and the eclipse we had in Holland last year was kinda shitty Eye-Riz, everything turned a bit yellow and the colors went back to normal again...

Where do u live ? I'd love to see the lights myself, but i thought u have to be way up north to see them.

ok I live in calgary...(check the where is TA home thread, its on the map) and I see the northern lights all the time. Now granted not as bright as in the pic that got posted, but it is quite a scene

yeah well... I was living in Romania at the time and the view of the eclipse was WAY better... I mean the points of total darkness where right above the capital city (and at the time I was there with my uncles)

I know, I heard about it. In Hungary we had some rain and clouds in the morning. So we hoped the clouds would dissappear, but they didn't until a quarter of an hour before the total eclipse (it already stopped raining long before that)
It was amazing: the diamant ring was fabulous, the sky went dark, but not like it was night... it was a bit spooky. All the animals (birds, dogs) went quiet, there was a strange smell in the air... was really something all together. When the sun came back everybody (all those people) applauded! So if you ever have the chance to see such a wonder of nature, go for it!

if you live in toronto you probablyt wont see them cause the city lights fuck everythi8nhg up
