The Wait is Over.... Koreanimation : "Wonderful Days aka Sky Blue".
yeah, japan's been killin it with dope animaiton for years... although [south]koreans can draw, theyve never had the proper sponsered support to make a feature animation flick. thats no longer true. 'wonderful days aka sky blue' -a sick sci-fi story about a future city. i just found out about this from a review section on the EW mag. just to find out that NYC had a limited release of the film since 2/18 and now its been pulled. wtf is that ? i gotta settle for the dvd i guess.. tell me what you guys think..
you can choose the trailer or the first 8 mins.. pure sickness....

The last Korean animation I watched was during the Big Apple Anime Fest in 2003.
South Korea is claiming over almost everything related to manga/anime from Japan. Look at the popularity of Korean MMORPG and RPG. Priston Tale, Magna Carta, Guide Wars..etc. More and more self-made anime/manga-gallery own by koreans instead of japanese. In some Japanese Flims/Animation. CG is mostly done by koreans. Even translation from japanese into korean subtitles is now avaliable everywhere.
Nice clip by the way.

korea always was good at putting out good video games aswell, but they don't get translated for the most part.
I forget what it's called, but they are making a really nice looking new mmorpg, I wish I had the site for it bookmarked still

saw this early last year.
Great CG. Real pretty shots throughout the whole movie. What I do't like too much is the korean language. Guess I'm just used to watching Japanese anime. However great movie.
