So I was in Tesco on the way home from college, after a long, hard, boring day of studying Condensed Matter Physics for the exams (which start next Wednesday ) when I saw a great pile of green stackers in the middle of the floor.

And take a look at what they said ->



Now that being the cheapest I'd ever seen bread, it dawned on me that I had a choice. Be a normal person, or go mad.

Its kinda satisfying though, to leave Tesco with this recepit ->



Gave in my clubcard too, ******s wouldnt give me a point on it I thought about getting another 10 loaves to make the euro, but it was too far to walk




Ironically, this stuff makes lousy toast, so it'll probobly be used to feed the birds. Will keep them busy for a while though

When I was down in Mexico they were selling HUGE loaves of bread for like $.005 USD. It was ridiculous.

Grilled cheese sandsiches or peanut butter and jelly. that's a hell of alot of bread though

bung it in the freezer to keep it fresh, thaws fast enough & can go straight in the toaster/on the grill

I love bargains. I'm the idiot that goes to the grocery store and buys a bunch of stuff, because "it's a good deal". I don't really get too much stuff, that I don't want/need, but I'll pass stuff up, if it's not on some sort of sale. You gotta snatch up bargains like that one though.

Silly people at safeways used to let me "be in charge" of reductions. Just before my 2hr "15mins" breaks I used to reduce big bags of donuts to 5p to have with cheapo coffee from the vending machine.
